"Hardware and software sales are in for Japan this week and they contain a surprising notion for those who insist Pikmin 3 is not a system seller. The game has only been available 2 days out of the week that these sales are for, but in that short time, the game has sold over 92,000 copies in Japan.

Wii U sales are also more than double compared to the previous week, with more than 22,000 units moving in a single week, compared to only 8,000 last week."

This isn't the normal mode of Rayman Legends - this is the mini-game Kung Foot, a ridiculously distracting side-attraction that Ancel and co. developed on a whim.

It's a 2D football game for up to four players, with simple physics and an even simpler fighting mechanic - you can aim punches at opponents and leave them momentarily stunned, enough time for a quick lob in the direction of their goal.

But because of its simplicity it immediately becomes tactical.

All of the levels are better with friends involved, and up to four players (five on Wii U) can essentially drop in and drop out at any time.

But the lack of the GamePad controller for non-Wii U versions is sometimes a problem.

Ubisoft has done its best to replicate the touchscreen Murphy character's actions for other systems by having him move automatically and be operable with the simple press of a button at the right time.

But this removes some of the fun of frantically looking from screen to screen to balance what's happening on both, and of performing Murphy's movements and actions yourself (such as firing a slingshot, re-arranging platforms, or tickling and swatting away enemies).

Fikk nettopp Insect Maniac Badge i Animal Crossing: New Leaf, for å ha halvveis fullført insekt-leksikonet. Stolt nå. :p

En ting som irriterer meg litt er at vi kun kan ha 100.000 bells i lommeboken om gangen. Aner ikke hvorfor. Resten blir plassert i inventoriet.

Review: Pikmin 3 blooms in HD

GREAT

Nostalgic, evocative and clever, Pikmin 3 is a delight while it lasts. There’s still nothing else like it.

Last week, Japanese Wii U sales jumped 170%, with the console selling 22,200 units, up from just 13,950 the week before. Much of this jump can be attributed to the release of Pikmin 3. The game sold over 100,000 units during its first two days, and no doubt made some Japanese gamers buy a Wii U. In fact, despite only counting two days of sales, Pikmin 3 was still the best selling game in Japan last week.

KILDE

Pikmin 3 skal forrøvrig kjøpes på fredag! ;-)
