2013/14 Barclays Under-18/21 Premier League

Sikkert litt care for mange, men jeg synes det er interessant og det gjør sikkert noen andre og. Englands nye liga for akademier har publisert terminlistene sine. I fra PL sine hjemmesider:

Under-18

Unlike last season, when the Academies were divided into three national qualifying groups from which the best-performing teams qualified for the post-Christmas Elite Group Stage, the 2013/14 Barclays U18 Premier League is split into two regional leagues: North and South.

New format

Each league consists of 11 Category 1 Academies who will play each other home and away, and also meet each team in the opposing group once (either home or away) for a total of 31 fixtures per Academy.

The Academies participating in the Northern Regional League are: Blackburn Rovers, Bolton Wanderers, Everton, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Middlesbrough, Newcastle United, Sunderland, Stoke City and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Academies participating in the Southern Regional League are: Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Fulham, Leicester City, Norwich City, Reading, Southampton, Tottenham Hotspur, West Bromwich Albion and West Ham United.

The top two teams from each group will progress to the semi-finals, with the winner of each league deemed to be the home team, facing the winners-up of the opposing division. Each of the semi-finals shall be played at the home team's registered ground or at a neutral venue determined by the Premier League.

Under-21

There will be one national division, the Barclays Under-21 Premier League, comprised of 22 Category 1 Academies.

The Academies involved are: Arsenal, Aston Villa, Blackburn Rovers, Bolton Wanderers, Chelsea, Everton, Fulham, Leicester City, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Middlesbrough, Newcastle United, Norwich City, Reading, Southampton, Stoke City, Sunderland, Tottenham hotspur, West Bromwich Albion, West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Having played each other once, either home or away, the top four teams in the table will progress to the semi-final stage and final to determine the overall Barclays Under-21 Premier League winners.

The Academies who finish first and fourth in the League will meet in one semi-final, with the former at home, while the second and third-placed clubs will meet in the other semi-final, with the League runners-up deemed the home team.

This season each team is required to play at least three of their home matches at their nominated home stadium, with training grounds and Academy venues permitted for the staging of up to three home matches.

Tviler på at jeg sitter limt til skjermen hver eneste kamp, men det blir spennende å følge med på. Spesielt kampene mot slutten kan sikkert bli litt underholdende.

Chelsea U21 starting lineup (4-3-3?)

Mitchell Beeney | Kevin Wright, Nathan Aké, Nathaniel Chalobah, Andreas Christensen | John Swift, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Josh McEachran | Jeremie Boga, Isaiah Brown, Alex Kiwomya

Substitutes from: TBA

Tottenham Hotspur U21 starting eleven:

Jordan Archer (GK), Dominic Ball, Alexander McQueen, Darren McQueen, Iago Falqué, Ryan Fredericks, Kevin Stewart, Giancarlo Gallfuoco, Shaquile Coulthirst, Nabil Bentaleb, Grant Ward

Kickoff at five minutes past the top of the hour; in about 20 minutes. Do it.

Except Spurs are having some difficulty arriving, so we're looking at a bit of a delay - 7:30pm kickoff at the latest, apparently.

Har ikke peiling på Spurs, men mye gøy i Chelsea sin XI.
