Poles widely see Israel’s campaign in Gaza as genocide, survey shows https://www.polskieradio.pl/395/7789/Artykul/3578216,poles-widely-see-israel’s-campaign-in-gaza-as-genocide-ipsos-poll-shows Seventy percent of Poles say Israel is committing genocide in Gaza, a new Ipsos survey shows, with nearly half strongly agreeing, the daily Rzeczpospolita reported on Thursday.
  6. Israeli Business Forum: This is not Sparta. The government must end the war, release the hostages, and set a date for elections https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/2025-09-16/ty-article-live/reports-idf-conducts-extensive-strikes-in-gaza-city-hostage-families-rally-at-pms-home/00000199-5034-d6e0-a7fb-df7c92240000 The Israeli Business Forum, which consists of about 200 owners and CEOS of leading Israeli companies, said that "the government policy led by Benjamin Netanyahu is leading the State of Israel into a dangerous and unprecedented economic and political slump." The forum leaders referred to Netanyahu's speech on Monday in which he said that Israel is in a "kind of political isolation" and will have to produce its own weapons "and become a super Sparta." According to them, "This is not Sparta, and this vision will make it difficult for Israel to survive in a developing global world." The forum's statement said that "the Israeli economy is showing resilience despite security and political challenges, but the resilience cannot last forever. The Israeli government must change direction immediately for the benefit of all Israeli citizens. The government must urgently promote the end of the longest war in Israeli history, the release of all hostages, the announcement of a state investigation committee [on the events of October 7], and the setting of an election date in the immediate future." The business leaders addressed Netanyahu personally, saying: "We are marching confidently towards a political, economic, and social abyss that will endanger our existence in the Land of Israel. You must stop this." – Israel Business Forum slams Netanyahu's "Sparta speech" https://en.globes.co.il/en/article-israel-business-forum-slams-netanyahus-sparta-speech-1001521735
‘Take the deal!’ IDF chief said to yell at ministers, urges Mossad head to go seal it https://www.timesofisrael.com/idf-chief-reportedly-yells-at-cabinet-ministers-to-take-the-hostage-release-deal/ IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen Eyal Zamir reportedly yelled at cabinet ministers on Sunday that they should finalize and accept a hostage-ceasefire deal currently on the table rather than push ahead with an expanded military operation in the Gaza Strip. Ministers, in response, berated Zamir that his past advice had been shown to be misguided, according to a Channel 13 report on the allegedly heated exchange. It was the latest in a series of reported clashes between the army chief and ministers over how the Gaza war is being managed.
De to mappene skal ha vært "forholdsvis like i utseendet".
More than 10% of Gaza’s population has been killed or injured, former Israeli military chief says https://edition.cnn.com/2025/09/15/middleeast/1-in-10-palestinians-killed-injured-gaza-israel-intl The former chief of the Israeli military said more than 1 in 10 Palestinians in the enclave have been killed or injured since the war began nearly two years ago. Speaking at the community of Ein HaBesor in southern Israel last week, former Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi said, “There are 2.2 million people in Gaza. There are in Gaza today more than 10% who were killed or injured, more than 200,000. This is not a gentle war.” The figure is notable because it is very close to the number of casualties from the Palestinian Ministry of Health, which says Israeli forces have killed nearly 65,000 Palestinians and injured more than 164,000.
  11. FN-kommisjon: Israel utfører folkemord i Gaza https://www.nrk.no/urix/israel_-gaza-er-i-brann-1.17572215 Ein uavhengig FN-kommisjon slår fast at statsminister Benjamin Netanyahu, president Isaac Herzog og tidlegare forsvarsminister Yoav Gallant i fleire uttalelser har oppfordra til folkemord i Gaza. Israel avviser skuldningane. — UN commission says Israel is committing genocide in Gaza https://edition.cnn.com/2025/09/16/middleeast/israel-gaza-genocide-un-commission-report-intl An independent United Nations inquiry has concluded for the first time that Israel has committed genocide against Palestinians in Gaza and that the country’s top leaders have incited genocide, in what it described as the “most authoritative UN finding to date.” In a 72-page report released on Tuesday, the commission, which was set up by the UN Human Rights Council (HRC), found that Israel has “committed four genocidal acts” in the enclave since October 7, 2023, when Hamas carried out deadly attacks on Israel and Israel launched its military campaign. These acts include the killing of Palestinians in Gaza, causing Palestinians “serious bodily and mental harm,” “deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part,” and “imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group,” according to the report.
  12. Israels sikkerhetsminister vil bygge luksusboliger for israelske politifolk på Gazastripen. Ben Gvir calls for ‘luxury neighborhood’ for police to be built over Gaza’s ruins https://www.timesofisrael.com/ben-gvir-calls-for-luxury-neighborhood-for-police-to-be-built-over-gazas-ruins/ National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir said Monday that he wants to build a “luxurious” neighborhood for Israel Police officers over the ruins of the Gaza Strip, earning applause from high-ranking officials at a Rosh Hashanah toast in Beit Shemesh. “We will finish the mission, occupy Gaza,” the far-right leader asserted Monday morning to the crowd, seated in a large auditorium in the city’s National Police Academy. Once that is achieved, “we want to establish a neighborhood of police officers also in Gaza,” he said forcefully. “On the seashore, all [will be] perfect,” he added to a smattering of applause.
Government to High Court on refusing to establish 7/10 inquiry commission: 'No change in our position' https://www.ynetnews.com/article/nm8ga20cr The government submitted its response to the High Court regarding the petition to establish a commission of inquiry into the October 7 failure, stating that "no change" has occurred in its position on the matter. Attorney Michael Ravelo, representing the government in the petition, stated that "the petitioners ignore the fact that we are in a war that has continued for almost two years, and according to the Israeli government, there is no place for a different decision at this stage." Amid criticism over the government's refusal to establish a state commission of inquiry into the massacre, coalition members attempted to promote a political inquiry committee while prohibiting investigation of the failure by any other means. The petitioners, the Zulat Institute, attacked this as a "disconnected and delusional response, just before marking two years since the greatest failure since the founding of the state."
  14. «Netanyahu says that he believes Israel can exit this isolation, but blames mass migration to Europe of Muslim immigrants for “bending the governments” in an anti-Israel direction and leading them to cancel defense deals with the Jewish state.» For en vanvittig sprø og virkelighetsfjern uttalelse. «Muslimenes feil»! Lapid har rett.
  15. Israeli Army Chief Says Netanyahu Not Informing IDF on Next Stage of Gaza War https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/2025-09-15/ty-article/report-israeli-army-chief-says-netanyahu-not-informing-idf-on-next-stage-of-gaza-war/00000199-4c73-d65c-a9f9-cdf7a1310000 In late August, IDF chief Eyal Zamir warned the security cabinet that the plan to take over Gaza City would take at least a year, and that there are no sufficient humanitarian services to meet the needs of the Palestinian population that would be pushed south IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir said in a closed-door meeting on Friday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not informing the military about the next expected stages of the Gaza war, according to a report Monday by Yedioth Ahronoth. "If the prime minister wants an [Israeli] military administration [in Gaza], let him say so," Zamir told lawmakers at the Knesset Intelligence and Secret Services Subcommittee, which falls under the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee. Zamir also reportedly criticized the U.S.-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation's aid distribution facilities in the Gaza Strip, calling them a failure. "I don't understand why they are spending money on it and increasing the number of aid centers to 12, if it failed when there were four," he said.
  16. Trump says Israel must be ‘very careful’ with ‘great ally’ Qatar following strike https://www.timesofisrael.com/trump-says-israel-must-be-very-careful-with-great-ally-qatar-following-strike/ Comments come amid further indications Mossad refused to take part in operation, thought to have failed to kill Hamas’ leaders, and ahead of Arab-Islamic summit in Doha. Following last week’s Israeli strike targeting Hamas leaders in Doha, US President Donald Trump told reporters Israel must be “very, very careful” about how it handles Qatar, which he called a “great ally.” — Netanyahu says those slamming Israel over Qatar attack showing ‘immense hypocrisy’ https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/netanyahu-says-those-slamming-israel-over-qatar-attack-showing-immense-hypocrisy/ Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says there is “immense cynicism and hypocrisy” in criticism of Israel over the strike in Qatar targeting Hamas, standing alongside US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, despite US President Donald Trump being among those slamming Israel over the news.
At the Rafah crossing into the Gaza Strip, hundreds of aid trucks sat unmoving in the Egyptian desert, stuck for days with only a handful allowed through by Israel to relieve the humanitarian disaster across the border. Israel continues to deny entry for life-saving medical equipment, shelters and parts for water infrastructure, four UN officials, several truck drivers and an Egyptian Red Crescent volunteer told AFP. They said the supplies were often rejected for being "dual-use", meaning they could be put to military use, or for minor packaging flaws. Some materials "just because they are metallic are not allowed to enter," said Amande Bazerolle, head of emergency response in Gaza at French medical charity MSF. Sitting on the Egyptian side was a truckload of intensive care gurneys baking in the sun, held back by the Israelis despite the UN reporting a severe shortage in Gaza, because one pallet was made of plastic instead of wood, aid workers said. Other shipments were turned away because "a single pallet is askew, or the cling film isn't wrapped satisfactorily", said an Egyptian Red Crescent volunteer. Even with everything lined up and approved beforehand, shipments can still be turned back, said Amal Emam, chief of the Egyptian Red Crescent. "You can have a UN approval number stuck to the side of a pallet, which means it should cross, it's been approved by all sides, including COGAT, but then it gets to the border and it's turned back, just like that." COGAT is the Israeli ministry of defence agency that oversees civil affairs in the Palestinian territories. Complying with the restrictions was also incredibly costly, Emam said. "I have never in my life as a humanitarian seen these kinds of obstacles being put to every bit of aid, down to the last inch of gauze," she added.
