DICE... DICE... DICE... Shame on you.

Fielding questions about this a number of times over the past month, the official Battlefield Twitter account has delivered a standard answer explaining that the patch is: "In the works, should be done soon."

 

While there may not have been a great deal of people who bought BF3 for a final, polished product, it's not hard to believe some people out there are wondering what's taking so long. DICE has given no indication that a patch is imminent, and that's simply not right.

 

Things are only made worse when you consider what a mess the game's launch has been. There are server issues across the platforms that prevented people from playing online -- and, really, that's what Battlefield is all about.

 

In an interview yesterday, DICE representative Gustav Hailling revealed: "There are a variety of other problems EA and DICE are aware of, and not all of them have workarounds or fixes yet. When it really comes down to it, patching is not our primary concern. We have spent countless hours already on this game, and many of us need a break. We plan on finishing the console patches sometime in the near future, but it simply isn't a priority right now. We are working on some additional content that can be purchased as DLC, and then we might start working on the console versions."

 

DICE and EA releases are often faced with messy launches, and keeping in mind how problematic Steam was when Half-Life 2 launched (compared to how it's essentially worshipped these days), it's not a complete shock to see the first big game launch on Origin run into issues. Even so, it just feels like the platform wasn't ready. Combine that with the lack of support DICE has given-- and almost flaunted---, and players' frustration is understandable."

 

 

Det som er så synd er at dette har vært så tydelig helt siden closed alpha. Folk har snakka om dette på forumet på BattleLog siden i juli, men har blitt spammet ned av DICE/EA Defence Force.

Det er ikke rart at PC- folket har vært "whiny" siden man har sett hvilken vei det har gått siden begynnelsen.

Når jeg spiller alene, bryr jeg meg mest om poeng og K/D, og gir faen i om vi vinner eller ikke. :p

Når jeg spiller med kompiser, så spiller jeg mere seriøst, for da er det artig og gjøre objectives.

Sitter som regel kun i jet når jeg spiller alene. ^^ Blir jo som oftes MVP bare av og kjøre jet.

Da må du være en jævlig god pilot.

La deg til. Om vi ikke spiller i kveld, så er jeg alltids med en annen dag.

 

Om det er flere her som liker å spille med VoIP, så legg meg til (battlelog). Har egen VT-server, men kan selvsagt bruke andre programmer og servere dersom det skulle være.

 

Savner folk å spille med siden de fleste kompisene mine valgte å kjøpe det på XBOX (djeez), som regel så må jeg spille alene og voldta tyskere på bortebane. Det er morsomt nok, men BF nytes best når man har en en full squad med mic. :)

 

 

Fet video forresten, FrustoL. I tillegg til at han åpenbart har spilt BF3 mer enn én gang, var det hele jævlig godt klippet. Digg å se på.
