DVD Forum med ny standard

Organisasjonen "DVD Forum" har bestemt seg for å satse på en DVD-standard med utvidet Internett-funksjon. De har derimot liten tro på den nye teknologien som bygger på blå laser.

Æsj, jeg vil mye heller ha det nye formatet NEC og Toshiba jobber med, som har blå laser. Dette fra DVD Forum virker helt uinteressant. Dette derimot...:

Pros:

It can storage 15GB on a single layer DVD. It meets manufacturers' needs by enabling use of the same manufacturing infrastructure as current DVD, which minimizes disc production costs. It supports development of backward compatible players that can playback current and next generation DVD. It is easy to realize dual-layer discs, as the back-to-back bonding of 0.6mm-thick discs is the same as for current DVD.

 

Cons:

Only two companies are behind it.

Vil mye heller hatt 23gig, men DVDForum er bare ute etter å melke egen ku.
