I would say I'm pretty well versed in English, especially written. At our school, Noroff, I've written all the writing assignments in English. I use English every day, and have been for years. Games and movies has taught me more than school have, maybe :p I even think in English most of the time. Anyone else think in English instead of Norwegian? :wee:

edit: By the way, I also suffer from the "forget-your-mother-language-syndrom" occasionally :D Anyone know what the Norwegian word for 'washer' is? You know, the little thing that you put between the screw and the thing your screwing? Hmm.. that didn't sound right :!:

If I see a norwegian movie, I usually think the sentences in english.

Doesen't happen that often in my regular day but when I think abobut problems, like something I'm building at thetime I think and talk loud to my self in english. Pretty wierd\weird =\

i've lived in the USA from when I was 2 untill I was 6...4 years.

BTW: The norwegian windows is retarded ^^

Haha indeed, me too. I imagine I get alot of the swearing from The Sopranos. "Jesus fucking christ" for example :D

All our curriculum books for 3D Game Design are all in English too :)

I also belive its spelled <dictionaries>

But at there im absolutely not sure.

7332808[/snapback]

It is. A noun ending with a y, like lolly(pop) in plural ends with "ies", lollies.

Dictionary - dictionaries.

dang, and i really thought about that one.....for like 30 second's ^^

Byt the way, Pondus rocks Nemi, thou I love nemi as well =)

Nemi is fine. But the best Norwegian catroon, apart from Pondus, which is without doubt the best, is M by Mads Eriksen. It's wonderfull.

I think "The duck tape, the tree, the Larsi" "Rabbit named Phil" "Shooting Noppe"

Finally, my night in "Cleaning Hell" is coming to an end.

I've been tidying up here for a couple of days now, and suddenly I got an urge to do the dishes, the bathroom and the floor.

Now I shall need therapy

I do that all the time. Or, it depends what I’m thinking about. If I’m thinking about a thing that is occurring in Norway then I will more or less think in Norwegian, otherwise I will reflect and sometimes dream in English. It freaks me out!

Anyway, I actually got an A on my research paper today. I’m so pleased with that, particularly because several students failed or got a bad grade on it.

Just watched Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.

Laughed my ass off the entire movie. Haven`t laughed that much since Monty Python and the holy grail. And thats some comparison.

I love the way it`s so politicaly uncorrect, with lots of prejudice and some bordering racism =P It`s just so damn funny sometimes.

Sascha Cohen was actually reported to the police 91 times during this movie - curtecy IMDB trivia.

So, how much damage will the car take if I was to hit a bunch of gypsis?

Well, that depends on how fast you would be going.

FAST!

Anyone else seen this masterpiece of humor?

Yes I have seen Borat and I enjoyed it a lot. As I've seen a lot of the basis for the sketches in the Ali G Show.

It was an enjoyable movie, but what most people don't understand is that the film and it's humour reflects others peoples ignorance and racism, not Sasha Baron Cohens. He is a practicing Semite jew, and the most funny part is seeing how people react to him and his odd personality :)

Me too. I think in English so often, I forget certain words in Norwegian. =/

I think I'll have to switch to Norwegian thinking once in a while. ^^,
