I loath that guy.

Why is it that, when american comedy is concerned, the morons end up on stage? Seriously, I want to know. Daniel Whitney (Larry The Cable Guy), Eddie Murphy, Scott Thompson (Carrot Top), Jeff Foxworthy, Michael Cathers (Geechy Guy), Paul Reubens (Pee-wee Herman), Roseanne Barr, etc.

So do you guys speak 'english-english' or 'american english'? I speak american-english!

I speak American-English, and have allways talked english this way.

I think the accent in British-English is ugly.

I'm able to speak both, but I find American-english a little more relaxed and laidback than British. I feel it has more room for "uhhh"'s and "hmm"'s :p

I can speek both, but personally I think the "eeh" and "uuuhm"'s are a negative thing. we have a lot of that i Norwegian. If we can't remember a word we just keep on going with the "eemm" untill we have it. sound horible. many of us start almost every sentance with an "emm". thats not right :p

My dad does that alot, but he`s very good at speaking German.

Remember one time when he called my computer a harddick (harddrive)

Well about the "uhh"'s and "hmm"'s; I think it's better to fill the conversation with something at least, instead of that embarrassing silence. But still - too much of anything isn't good :p

New Zealand-English, actually. Last year I hung out with an exchange student from NZ, and eventually my English became more and more influenced by his accent.

Can wait 'till August, seeing that I'll start my studies in English (bachelor) at University of Agder. Studied English before at HiO, so I know what to look forward to I think, but this is like a dream come true (always wanted to study English, due to the fact that I want to become an English teacher).

I speak with a British accent, and I was taken for being English when I was studying in York last year (by strangers that is). :D

That's cool! Languages have always interested me, and teacher is actually something that I could think of working as.

Btw I speak with an american accent (New Jersey).

Well, all I can say is that the university looks pretty nice. Been there a few times myself and the people seem friendly enough :)

Yes, has come to know the place a bit now, seeing that my fiancé has just finished off his first year of History at UiA. Love the town, becoming more and more familiar with the place, so I think it will be great. :)
