Kjøpt ny Golf Stv

Det er ingen tillegg på bilprisen når du kjøper med dpf. Men til gjengjeld får du redusert årsavgift med kr 330,- . Dette vil du ikke få hvis du ettermonterer dpf. Så de 15 000,- kronene det koster å oppgradere til 105 hk, hadde jeg spandert på meg selv.

Jeg er i utgangspunktet ikke så glad i å ettermontere ting på bilen. Hvis man skal ha ny bil er det greit å få det fabrikkmontert.

Jeg bestilte bilen min egentlig med en 105 hk tdi motor, men prisforskjellen opptil 140 hk var i underkant av 30 000 kr. Vurderte litt fram og tilbake, men kom fram til at fabrikkny 140 hk er bedre enn om jeg skulle chipe opp motoren. Selv om det finnes firmaer som gjør dette helt profft må i utgangspunktet betale inn ekstra til myndighetene pga økt motoreffekt. Ville landet omtrent på det samme...

Hva jeg fant på honestjohn vedrørende Golv V:

 

Problems:

 

-Headlight light sensors over sensitive;

-wiper rain sensors over sensitive;

-individual climate controls may not work properly;

-rattles and squeaks from trim;

-red door reflectors have replaced lights and they fall off.

-Rain sensing wipers tend to over-react.

-Plastic timing belt tensioners of 1.4 and 1.6 16v engines now failing regularly, though fortunately the belts are rarely flung off when this happens.

-Steering rack problems reported.

-Rear light lenses letting in moisture and fogging over.

-Reports of "grinding noise from steering rack" when turning left, not cured by replacing rack.

-On 1.9 TDI 105s both a clutch release bearing fault and a hesitation on running fault with no cure available from VW

-More coils failures usually indicated by the emissions (lambda) light on the dash.

-Battery drain caused by radio. If you don't leave a CD in the player, then it randomly thinks you've inserted one, then decides you haven't, and then switches the radio on. You then find the car in the morning either with with the radio blaring! or the battery flat.

-One report in June 2007 of a TDI running on its sump oil after having been overfilled. So check when cold on a flat surface and be very careful not to overfill.

-On all PD diesel engines, if engine lube oil appears to rise, the reason may be that the injectors are leaking fuel oil into the bores. Very important to get this fixed or engine may start running on its lube oil and need to be stalled against the brakes or choked of air to stop. Alternatively it may be the 'Tandem pump" that is at fault

and has been leaking diesel into the engine. See Recalls

 

Many niggly faults on delivery. One reader's story:-

 

"I bought a VW Golf Mark 5 in December 2004. When I went to collect the car, the doors didn't fit properly, nor did they close properly either. There were a few other little things, but the doors were the main problem. The dealership, said that they would take the car in and try to fix it. After 3 days, the car came back and the doors were still massively out of alignment. The VW garage, said they would get me another car."

 

"In March, the new one came. Initially, there was a problem with the centre console cover, which was badly marked. I pointed this out to the salesman, who offered to replace the part, straight away, with a second hand part out of another car. I refused and waited three weeks for a new part."

 

"Then the Alarm failed, due to a faulty siren. This was fixed, however a week after it being fixed, a new fault appeared. Every time I went over a bump, the was a vibration and rattle, which progressively got worse. This took 5 times in the garage to find, and it was diagnosed as a faulty bracket behind the dashboard, which had incorrectly fitted during manufacture. Whilst it was in the garage, they also found that the CV joint was leaking grease heavily and had to be replaced."

 

"About a month ago, during the good weather, I noticed some discoloration in the paintwork on the passenger door. It was like the black, was slightly grey. I thought it was dirt, but polishing and washing has had no effect. It is only noticeable, when the sunlight is on the car."

 

"About two weeks ago, the alarm failed again. It has been diagnosed as the Alarm siren again. This was the last straw. I have gone back to VW to demand my money back. I paid £17,000 for the car and I am absolutely fed up with it and I have no confidence in the car. Its fine to drive, but it keeps going wrong."

 

"Now, there appears to be a squeak in the front suspension as well, when I go over a speed hump."

 

Some 2007 build cars with 6-speed boxes suffered from a planetary gear fault due to incorrect assembly. Cars fixed quickly by TSB when in dealers for servicing or other problems.

What things have gone wrong with the car?

 

The only major thing that went wrong was some electric component which caused the car to break down. I'm not exactly sure what the component was, but it was something to do with the gearbox. It caused VW a lot of grief as the dealer I got towed to (Wayside in MK) couldn't solve it themselves and had to refer back to VW engineers in Germany. It was, they admitted, a very unusual fault. It was fixed under warranty - a good job because it involved taking out the whole of the dashboard to get to the component (not sure if they had to take the engine out). It meant they had the car for 2 weeks.

 

The only resultant problem from all this is the dash has developed a very annoying couple of rattles which my local VW dealer (Colbournes of Woking) are going to fix.

 

Other problems:

 

The speakers in the doors have not been fitted particularly well and they vibrate on rough roads. Another thing the dealer is going to fix for me when it goes in.

 

- 2006 Volkswagen Golf GT TDi 140 (nr. 2)

 

What things have gone wrong with the car?

 

-Firstly, I picked up on a drivers door alignment issue on the second day of ownership. Around the top corner where it meets the front wing, it tapered out like someone had bent the body panel. Dealer attempted to 're-align' three times in order to cover up the problem, but on the fourth attempt they resprayed the door and wing in order to fix it. I 'REJECTED' this car as I had discussed that I didn't want any such remedial technique involving repainting...

 

-Secondly, rattles from passenger door, scuffs/pulls in numerous places on the interior, vibrating clutch pedal - poor. I was glad to get rid and accept a replacement car!

 

-I'm on my second Golf now and the door alignment isn't perfect, but much better than previous. I've come to accept it as they all seem to be like this (on 3 door models especially).

 

Again rattles from drivers door and seat belt latch.

What things have gone wrong with the car?

 

A plethora of squeaks and rattles from new, including a high pitch squeak coming from the right-hand side rear door that could not be rectified by the dealer. Suggested we turn up the music volume when driving.

 

Heated mirror behaviour could not be explained by the dealer - driver's side mirror gets ever-so-slightly warm when heating is switched on, however passenger side gets too hot to touch. Dealer attempted to fix several times with no success, scratching the mirror in the process, which later had to be resprayed (under warranty). Problem still unresolved.

vw hateren rirer igjen, hvor er statistikken som viser hvor ofte disse feilene duger opp pr bil? Nytter ikke bare å slenge opp en haug med feil og si at det gjelder alle biler som blir solgt ;), selv om jeg ikke tviler på at golfen har mer feil enn endel asia biler . En kollega av meg har kjøpte en ny suzuki ifjor og har allerede hatt reparasjoner på garantien 3 ganger, men det betyr ikke at alle har det, hadde det vært en VW derimot så hadde du helt sikkert brukt muligheten til å påstå det.

Suzuki burdte holde seg til mc produksjon ikke bil, det er jeg enig i..

 

edit, sx4 og swift er litt fine da, men ikke akkurat tekniske mirakel biler med påkostet intriør.

Nå var vel Kia et dårlig eksempel på en "ikke skikkelig bil". Cee'd har jo 7 års garanti, så den bør holde seg brukbart ihvertfall i denne perioden. I siste nr av bladet BIL er det en test av små stasjonsvogner (307SW, Octavia, Golf og Kia Cee'd), og jeg ble overrasket over hvem som ble vinneren (og er selvsagt ikk enig).

Ryggevarsler er vel og greit. Men den pipinga er ganske irriterende. Men man vender seg vel til den.

Fattern monterte det på sin bil i sin tid, men kobla den ut igjen i løpet av kort. Så veldig mye effekt hadde den ikke.

 

Jeg bestilte som sagt min nye Golf Stv i begynnelsen av september. Jeg skulle opprinnelig få bilen ca rundt nyttår. Men har nå fått beskjed om at bilen ikke vil produseres før på nyåret som igjen betyr at bilen blir minst 2 mnd forsinka. Noen tips på hva jeg kan kreve av selgeren?

Jeg ville nok ikke kjøpt meg Golf stasjonsvogn selv, men synes ikke bilen er så dum.

 

Bakenden liker jeg faktisk ganske godt og resten er jo ganske lik en vanlig golf da.

140HK'eren er ganske sprek (har kun kjørt pumpedyse dieselen). Med DSG er det etter min mening en perfekt kombinasjon.

 

Men personlig ville jeg nok gått ett steg lenger hvis jeg først skulle hatt stasjonsvogn. Feks. en Audi A6 eller en BMW 5-serie. Men da snakker vi sef. en helt annen pris også.
