Otsu Skrevet 21. oktober 2009 Skrevet 21. oktober 2009 I must apologise! I never ment to offend anyone. I just felt like writing wankers because its a freaking awesome word ^^
2ball_ Skrevet 21. oktober 2009 Skrevet 21. oktober 2009 (endret) ^ haha! In other news: I just got an idea. I'd like to open a pub here in Norway(prefrebly Bergen) where "every and all" conversations must be in english. If you don't know english you're not welcome. Or The Binary Pub "The world consists of two kinds of people: Those that know binary and those that don't" Endret 21. oktober 2009 av 2ball(s)
Wackee Skrevet 21. oktober 2009 Skrevet 21. oktober 2009 That would be lovely, but it would be hard to control that everyone would actually speak english..
Henrik C Skrevet 21. oktober 2009 Skrevet 21. oktober 2009 Yeah, and what would you do when someone spoke, say, Norwegian? Throw them out? I think that would give quite a lot bad PR.
Wackee Skrevet 21. oktober 2009 Skrevet 21. oktober 2009 Sure people often would speak english to each each other -that cannot be prevented. But, you can say you only accept bara orders in english, and arrange quizzes and stuff, where the quizzmaster talks in english, and the anwers have to be in english.
kris98 Skrevet 21. oktober 2009 Skrevet 21. oktober 2009 Sounds like a fun project. Good accents give a discount, right?
Wackee Skrevet 21. oktober 2009 Skrevet 21. oktober 2009 But if you carry an Oxford accent, its more expensive )
henbruas Skrevet 21. oktober 2009 Skrevet 21. oktober 2009 Are you kidding? Nothing beats pure Queen's English.
Wackee Skrevet 21. oktober 2009 Skrevet 21. oktober 2009 Yes Sir. I was kidding! My strange english humor..
Mikkel™ Skrevet 22. oktober 2009 Skrevet 22. oktober 2009 Is it normal to be nervous when you are talking in a foreign language?
2ball_ Skrevet 22. oktober 2009 Skrevet 22. oktober 2009 Is it normal to be nervous when you are talking in a foreign language? Yea. It is. At least if you're talking to somone that you don't talk to that often. I have no problem chatting in English with my friends, but in class I'm a tad more nervous.. Just a tad.
Mikkel™ Skrevet 22. oktober 2009 Skrevet 22. oktober 2009 (endret) Jolly good! I will probaply come around some time. Just hand me that bottle of whiskey Endret 22. oktober 2009 av Mikkel™
Slimda Skrevet 22. oktober 2009 Skrevet 22. oktober 2009 Thankfully, talking over ventrilo during my World of Warcraft raids have started eliminating the whole "awkward speaking english to people"-thing. I reckon in a couple of more months, I'll be able to speak fluently without a problem.
2ball_ Skrevet 22. oktober 2009 Skrevet 22. oktober 2009 hehe.. I recon in a couple of moths only wow players can understand you
Mikkel™ Skrevet 22. oktober 2009 Skrevet 22. oktober 2009 I laso eliminated that feeling with world of warcraft. Been 8 months since last i played tho
Slimda Skrevet 22. oktober 2009 Skrevet 22. oktober 2009 hehe.. I recon in a couple of moths only wow players can understand you Not at all. I hardly use abbrivations and game slang when speaking english, except during those short 5-minute fights. Those events are usually about 2-3 hours per week in total. On the regular speaking-part, we're talking 10-20 hours per week.
