Kan jeg klare å like hip hop?

Aenema

Anbefalte innlegg

Sjekk ut disse albumene:

Jedi Mind Tricks - Violent By Design

Talib Kweli - Quality

Lupe Fiasco - Food and Liquor

Cunninlynguists - A Piece of Strange

Joell Ortiz - The Brick

Common - Be

Pharaohe Monch - The truth

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DY94XFbocU

Yo

Truth had me up against the ropes

and semi-concious without no boxing skills

Fear of it makes hair on my neck grow like minoxodil

Watchin the clock is ill when, faced wit the truth

Parallels observing, amateur video tapes of

Twenty-one top notch NYPD cops get ill

Fill they minds not to kill still son, never revealed

True feelings, we speakin on the truth right now in itself is healing

See The Creator, created existence and balance

At right angles, unless it was conceived and stated

So whoever shall stray away from right lives wrong

The deliverance of the word false opposite of truth off course

Sure as my slave name sending

Troy Donald Jamerson paves the path, enabling truth

To stay stable and cling to EARTH!

Sorta similar to the way static electricity sting see

Truth brings light, light refracts off the mirror

Visions of yourself and error could never clearer

The truth is that you ugly, not on the outside

But in the inside on the outside you frontin you lovely

The discovery of these things and all are well-hidden

But when you in denial of self it is forbidden, that's the truth

[Female singer]

In due time we will find

[Common] *speaking behind vocals*

See it everywhere, gotta recognize it

Let the truth be told from young souls that become old

>From days spent in the jungle, where must one go

To find it, time is real, we can't rewind it

Out of everybody I met, who told the truth? Time did

We find kids speakin cuz it's naturally in us

But the false prophets by tellin us we born sinners

Venders of hate, got me battlin my own mind state

At a divine rate, I ain't in this just to rhyme great

See the truth in the thighs of a stripper, the eyes of my nigga

If it's only one, then why should it differ

So constantly I seek it

Wonderin why I gotta drink a six pack to speak it

Took a picture of the truth and tried to develop it

Had proof, it was only recognized by the intelligent

Took the negative and positive, cuz niggas got to live

Said I got to get more than I'm given

Cuz truth'll never be heard in religion

After searchin the world, on the inside what was hidden

It was the truth

[Female singer]

Truth, truth, truth, truth, truth, truth

In due time, we will find

[Talib Kweli]

Check it, on my neck I still got marks from the nooses

The truth it produces, fear that got niggas on the run like Carl Lewis

The truth is my crew is the smoothest bits of saliva juices like the roots is

More organic than acoustics

Heavenly ? set you free and kill you in the same breath

That shit you gotta get off your chest before your death, unless

The way you speak is lighter than a pamphlet

Cuz the truth give the words away to the planet goddammit

I ran wit what God planted in my heart and I understand it

To be the bring the light to the dark, breathe some life in this art

This must be the truth (why?) cuz we keep marchin on (true)

The truth lay the foundation of what we rockin on (true)

You can't see it if you blind but we will always prevail (true)

Life is like the open sea, the truth is the wind in our sail

And in the end, our names is on the lips of dying men

If ever crushed in the earth, we always rise again

When the words of lying men sound lush like the sound of a violin

The truth is there, it's just the heart you gotta find it in

[Female singer]

You will find (7x)

Killah Priest ft. Nas - The Saints

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ahM6sbEFpEs

[Killah Priest]

The reep of presents, I reach for my weapon, stressing

Compulsive disorder, I step closer to the alter

Confessions, a preacher touches my dome, I soak in the water

My presence is there, but I can't see it quite clear

But I can feel it, next to my nine, there's a bottle

And there's a spirit, I feel sheer bliss

I've been baptivised, but I still feel bad vibes

From niggas, used to shoot fair ones, but now we pull guns

Quicker, I took a lip from the liquor

Took a hit of the L, the mixture, had me feeling sicker

Paint a dark picture that flicker, load my clip up with shells

The air got thicker... two more shots of Tequila

Stare at the mirror, the face is too familiar

The reflections of a true killer, whose real

Though I'm drunk, I pick up my pump

Stand looking like Huey, but slumped

It's Nostradam' and Saint Thomas, with the uzi in front

My Garden of Eden is apartment where they puff they trees and

The serpents alerting through the weak secretions

The earth's scent from a furnace, quiet, Priest is teaching

Big Apple's a hassle, project tabernacles

Telling stories through the urban tattoos

Bullet wounds, some serving capsules

Thug Vatican, Priest lounging between two Greek statues

Killah Priest The Saints (Feat. Nas) lyrics found on

You try to front, and the heat'll clap you

[Chorus: Killah Priest w/ ad-libs]

The Priest, the Nasarite, top 5, dead or alive

Crime cardinals, from Allah's school

Israelite books, we both crooks

True don, let's get it on, word is bond

He's God's Son, I'm the dark one...

Yo, I'm the Priest, he's the Nasarite, top 5, dead or alive

Crime cardinals, from Allah's school

Israelite books, we both crooks

True don, let's get it on, word is bond

He's the God Son, but I'm the dark one...

[Nas]

My pen's a paintbrush, with coloring books of gangstas

Ho's who never change it's tampoon, thinking

Hot as a bullet that went in Abe Lincoln

Your page is the inkaholic, addict for drinking

The hundred proof truth, pouring down my platinum ink pen

Niggas is slipping, niggas forgetting

The child of Medusa's risen, twisted snake heads

You should envision, ice grill ya'll to stone

Hypnotism, born with intuition

As an infant to keep me living, my moms fought off bats

Giant size, flap your wings, sicks with attack

Crying eyes, the next rapper king to react

The science God, is to know thy self

To civilize those around you'se a slow process

I release on my own recognence

My sirconscious, on a track as bomb as this one

Ear's to intertwine with, I kick a verse

Til M.C.'s get the curse

DJ Premier: Big L Rest In Peace

Intro: samples

Feel the realness

In this business of rep

Go ahead

[Guru]

Fresh out the gate again time to raise the stakes again

Fatten my plate again y'all cats know we always play to win

G A N G to the Starr's son

Haters took this shit too far son

So thats all for you I'm whiping out your whole team

I'll splatter your dreams with lyrics to shatter your schemes

The badder you seem, the more lies you tell

The more lies you sell, then by surprise you fell

Into my deathtrap, right into my clutches

Stupid, you know the God must bless every single mic he touches

I've suffered, just so I could return harder

Wanna be the shit starter? Fuck around, make you a martyr

I make ya famous, turn around and make ya nameless

Cause you never understood to me how vital this rap game is

Save it and hold that, you catch a hot one

Rhymes chase a fake nigga down soon as I spot one

Chorus: Gang Starr samples, except where noted

--Full clip--

--Do you wanna mess with this?--

--Gang Starr--

--I'm one of the best yet--

--I'm nice like that--

"It's all good" ---> Noreaga

--In this business of rep--

*repeat, change last line to: --so I suggest you take a rest--*

[Guru]

So if you stand in my way, I'm gonna have to spray

Learn that "if you come against me son your gonna have to pray"

Since back in the day I held The Weight and kept my head up

The wanna see the God catch an L Itz all a Set Up

I give no man or thing power over me

Why these niggaz so jealous and lookin sour, over me?

I'm bolder, G, I'm like impossible to stop

I'm like that nigga in the ring with you, impossible to drop

I'm like two magazine fully loaded to your one

Plus I ain't gonna quit spittin, nigga, till your done

Plus, more than over, I got my whole shit together

More than a decade of hits, that'll live forever

Catchin rep off my name? Your bound to fry

Know how many niggaz that I know, is done to die

We never fail, and we ain't never been frail

You niggaz talk crime, but you scared of jail

Chorus

[Guru]

Attackin like a slick Apache lyrics are trigger happy

Pullin back your wig piece just for the way your lookin at me

Talk back, blaow! I hit you up right now

I don't know why so many of y'all wanna be thugs anyhow

Face the consequence, of your childish nonsense

I could make your head explode just by my lyrical content

Get you in my scope and metaphorically snipe ya

I never liked ya, I gas that ass and then ignite ya

The flame thrower, make your peops afraid to know ya

How many times I told ya, "play your position" small soldier

My heart is colder, makes me wanna resort to violence

Stop beatin me in the head son, nah, I'm not buyin it

I'm ready to blast, ready to surpass and harass

I'm ready to flip, yeah I'm ready to get with all that cash

I hold my chrome steady, with a tight grip

So watch your dome already cause this one might hit

Chorus

pharaoh monch - broken heart

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cpIl063oy24

Her apartment was small papered in 2pac posters

She used playing cards as coasters

Rusted pipe cockroaches

Voted most likely to succeed

They was right all she do now is suck-seeds

Clutch-clit, suck-dick while she puff weed

In the bathroom, bandaids for her scuffed knees

With her hand chop a mountain down, you know where her nose at

Running where them hookers and them hoes at

Before the packs sold and the prozac

She used to beg a nigger for the bozac

Now all i ever hear is where the doughs at?

The prada bags, Clothes at

Took my heart, froze that

Promised that if i opened it up it would never close back

It was a love so solid

Plans to deliver the ring like frodo the hobbit

But you cut me off like a lane of private? on some bullshit, when we was just getting started

And i can see it inside your face i'm in your space right people just need to move at they're on pace

But my advantage is, Seven spiritual laws and anger management

Seven spiritual laws and anger management

Seven spiritual laws and

"A broken heart"

I saw you at the knicks game

Damn you look good now

Your new man is a bitch though

Shoulda seen the way he switch-yo

From my head i might remove this gun

Live my life to the fullest have fun

Some Dr. Atkin shit no fun's cause

99 problems and a bitch ain't one

Streets of new york walk into the sun

On some Martin-luther King we shall overcome

Dismantling biz, he's back on his grizz

Dismantling stress, he's handling his

Plans for some attords? and for various projects

I'm so focused now i can see through objects

Show how i can make some positive progress

Time is now, Oh so obvious
