Considering this will end up on the top of the new page, let me all wish you a splendid summer. Let us all hope for some spectacular weather with nothing but sun, sun and sun.

Also, don't forget to keep yourself hydrated.

No one has the time to write replies...

Exactly this. I've been busy as all Hell since national day. Not really had the time to sit down with this. It is not finished though; I vow to return to this debate when I can spare some time.

meh, I got a B in English :(

Got a B myself a couple of years back. Would'ave been an A if I had studied at all. :)

Still, school grades aren't that important. Most companies don't even glance at it when hiring.

Haha, just like myself. I've always been a clever bastard, which resulted in me becoming awfully lazy :p

Well, it's not the job application I'm worried about, it's the universities...

Well, thanks. It's just that English is one of the subjects where I actually had a shot at getting an A, so it's more like I've lost an A than gained a B. :p

I can understand that. In my class you must know more than just "English" to get an A.

Personally I think Im above average in English. Thanks to movies, tv-series and games!

Yeah, it's basically the same here, but I managed to get an A last year. :p

In what grade are you in?

High School?

It's equivalent to High School.

Wrong.

High School (USA) = 9th to 12th grade

Videregående skole = 11th to 13th grade

However, I just realized that the international term for videregående is high school, but it's still not the same, but I guess one could call it the equivalent :p

The problem with this, is that the american, english and norwegian school systems are quite different in terms of how they divide their years.

I'd find articles describing how it is in detail, but I have a job to do, so I'll leave that to someone else.

Yay, an English thread! :new_woot: I love the English language. There are plenty of Norwegian phrases I automatically translate to English because it sounds so much better. I even used to have discussions with my best friend in English sometimes. It's good practice. :)
