Problem :

 

Sender en mail med feks 2 bilder som vedlegg fra PC med Microsoft Outlook

til min Online.no mail konto

Får varsel om ny mail på Iphone

Åpner mailboks

Viser en ny mail med vedlegg

Åpner mail

eneste vedlegg er en fil "winmail .dat "

When people send messages from incorrectly configured Microsoft Outlook email clients, a file attachment called winmail.dat may be added as an attachment to the message. This file contains formatting information for messages that use Microsoft's proprietary TNEF standard and any attachments sent with the original message. Feil konfigurert Outlook klient.

Hm -- da avinnstallerte jeg likegodt Outlook - la inn alt på nytt - etter oppstart prosedyren som kom opp.

Same problem.

Så testet jeg på kona sin bærbare - same shit --

Her er oppskrift på å 'slå av' winmail.dat.

To prevent Outlook from attaching winmail.dat when you send an email:

• Click File in Outlook.
• Select Options.
• Go to the Mail category.
• Make sure HTML or Plain Text is selected for Compose messages in this format: under Compose messages.
• Now make sure Convert to HTML format or Convert to Plain Text format is selected for When sending messages in Rich Text format to Internet recipients: under Message format.
• Click OK.
