Når man skal BRYTE seg inn i et system, kaller man det å CRACKE ikke å hacke.

 

En hacker har ikke ondsinnede hensikter, hackere er personer som har en interesse og stor viten om programmering og data generelt. Crackere er personer som ønsker å bryte seg inn i systemer med forskjellige hensikter, husker ikke alle, men det inngår selvfølgelig det å stjele, ødelegge eller spionere. Og det finnes også crackere som bryter seg inn i systemer for å rette opp sikkerhetshull .....

Vel.. Jeg deler det inn i tre grupper:

 

Hacker: En som elsker å få nye "oppgaver", utfordringer og nye systemer å komme seg forbi. En Hacker vil bare komme seg inn på steder han ikke egentlig skal komme seg inn, og komme seg vekk uten å bli logget.

En Hacker ødelegger ikke. Jeg vil tvert imot si at en Hacker er et nødvendig "onde". Nettverksspesialisters største lærings-kilde er nemlig Hackerne. En Hacker ødelegger som sagt ingenting og forandrer ingenting, utenom logger. Og det eneste de fjerner er sporene etter besøket.

 

Cracker: En som kommer seg inn steder han ikke egentlig har tilgang til, men som ødelegger. Dette er IT-verdens terrorister.

 

Script-kiddie: Disse er jo som alle vet en pain-in-thee-arse. Ingenting annet. De er verdt null og niks. I motsetning til de ovennevnte, så er Script-kiddies meget uintelligent. Disse her er som oftest i alderen 13-18 og blir kalt internettets fjortiser. Det disse gjør er å laste ned programmer som hackere/crackere/programmerere har laget og trykker på "destroy"-knappen. De gjør alt mulig rart, men det krever ingen hjerne. De bruker bare andres. Script-kiddies har, også imotsetning til de andre, aldri ført til NOE positivt.
