3 - Friendly / Honored

Drep 6000 flere twilights

Dessverre, men ja.

4 - Honored +

I banken din har du nå

1800 twilight tekster, verdt 18.000 REPUTATION !!

120 Full twilight sets, verdt 90 templar summons og 30 duke summons !! (MASSE REP).

Men Logistic Quest XI trenger å droppe også, fordi du trenger mark of remulos.)

* Minimum downtime.

* Maksimum dps.

I've just started this weekend to grind Silithus for those nice Cenarion Circle rewards, and since a lot of the people I grouped with didn't know what it was all about, I thought I'd write a small guide to help people new to these quests out.

While a few of these can be done solo, and some of them with only 2 or 3 people, these quests all work best (and much much much MUCH faster) with a full group of 5, who all know what it's all about in advance :)

Please note: I do not claim to know everything about the game and these quests. I do not claim to be an encyclopedia. If you see anything missing or wrong, please do let me know so I can ammend and hopefully grow this guide :) As long as we all keep it civil. This guide was originally written for my guild and contains a lot of my own oppinions, it's not all solid fact.

This is written from an Alliance perspective, so a few things will be different for hordies, as Spinnie was so kind to point out. It is however VERY few; by far most of this applies to both sides :)

---WHERE TO START---

You can look at the rewards and requirements for each equipment piece at the tauren blacksmith to the right of the inn (Cenarion Hold, Silithus) but don't take any of the quests - not even the class specific quests not related to this either, which you'll find on the other guys around the inn. You don't need to have them in your log until you need to hand them in, you can gather all the items anyway (various scarabs from AQ and such).

You will need as many blank spaces in your quest log as possible. At least 3, but preferably 5+ (I use 8 personally).

---THE REWARDS---

These are the quests you WONT be taking into your log. Look at them as merely a list of the juicy stuff you can get. There's no need to take them unless you already have the badges required for them.

Volunteer's Battlegear - http://www.thottbot.com/?qu=8548

Veteran's Battlegear - http://www.thottbot.com/?qu=8572

Stalwart's Battlegear - http://www.thottbot.com/?qu=8574

Champion's Battlegear - http://www.thottbot.com/?qu=8573

---TOTAL BADGES NEEDED---

If you want one of the items from each quest, this is the total number of badges you'll need. I've been told however, that the quests are repeatable, so you could actually do them several times to get ALL the rewards if you want (for some obscure reason).

Cenarion Combat Badge: 42

Cenarion Logistics Badge: 47

Cenarion Tactical Badge: 48

Mark of Cenarius: 1

Mark of Remulos: 1

---CLASSES---

These quests can be done by all, and a questing party can be of almost any class combination, as long as there's one healer and preferably someone in plate. That's it.

For example it went smoothly for me in a party where we were 3 warriors and a retribution paladin (me) as only healer :p

---HOW TO GET THE BADGES---

Alright, now we know of the quests we're not gonna take, so which ones ARE we taking?

Two words: "Field Duty".

You get this repeatable quest at Windcaller Kaldon, who is on the right side of the entrance to the building next to the moonwell in CH.

This quest is very simple: Take papers to the Captain of the dwarf camp next to Hive Zora. Quick and straight forward.

Only one slight problem: The camp is constantly under attack from a huge bug, and the Captain will lead the assault. This means the Captain will die every time, unless he's healed or in other ways protected. If he dies you have to wait for the next bug attack, and make sure he lives through that one.

When the papers are signed, rush back to Windcaller Kaldon, and he'll give you the choice of one of 3 assignments: Combat, Tactical or Logistics.

Combat ones will be to kill 30 of a bug type (Hive Sister, Burrower, Worker, Defender, Spitfire, Stinger etc. etc.) in one of the Hives (Zora, Ashi and Regal).

NOTE: I will probably recommend unless you have lots of free slots in your quest log, that you throw away the Combat quests with Burrowers, Tunnelers and Workers. These are the yellow bugs you'll see in each Hive. The reason is that they are rarer than the rest and take AGES to grind, but the reward is the same. They also patrol instead of staying put like the rest.

Tactical are a bit more varied, but usually deal with taking out some boss or other (Twilight Marauders, Elemental Templars etc.) and their helpers, or getting intel from a hidden agent inside a Hive. The intel ones can often be solo'ed if you're rogue or druid (if there's a lot of grinding going on, you can sometimes do it even if you're of another class as well).

In, talk, out. Easy peasy.

Logistics are very straight forward - items = money! They just ask you to give them something which can be crafted (mostly), so you can probably get a guild member crafter to help you make it or just buy it off AH. You didn't think epics were gonna be free, did you? ;) They will probably cost a little bit all in all. My ROUGH estimate is an average of 6g or so per badge, so somewhere between 300-400g when all is done and said, but don't fret, you'll probably make a little money along the way (a LOT if you're a skinner and a bit if you're miner). Just don't do all the logistics at once and you'll be fine.

---QUEST CHOICE STRATEGY---

The tactical and logistics can be done in any amount at one time, it doesn't matter.

Combat however is different: The goal is to assemble as many different combat assignments for ONE hive at once. You'll have to kill most mobs you come by, so the amout killed (and the time spent) whether you have one quest or 4 quests to one particular hive, will be the same so only difference will be if you want 1 badge or 4 badges for 3 hours work. Your choice, but I know what I choose. Personally I just keep doing Field Duty until I have a load of quests in the same Hive. If I get quests for another Hive, I just drop them and do another Field Duty. It's time well spent, and the very quick Field Duty quest gives 20 reputation with Cenarion Circle in itself - which you'll aslo need as you have to be Exalted with them to get the Champion's Battlegear (the others have requirements as well, keep them in mind).

Also keep in mind that you automatically get a follow up quest when you complete one, don't throw these away unless you've already done this quest before. Read on to understand why.

---MARK OF REMULOS AND CENARIUS---

These are a special type of badge if you will, which can only be gotten through one special quest each, and whether you get the quest or not is RANDOM so keep your eyes out for them. These badges are used for the items in Stalwart's Battlegear and Champion's Battlegear.

If you get the quests below, DON'T drop them. These quests seem to only "drop" from the follow up assignments, so this is why you want to keep an eye on those.

Quest: "The Ultimate Deception" (http://www.thottbot.com/?qu=8829)

Gotten From: Logistics Task Briefing XI

Objective: Get items - 1x Skin of Shadow (scholomance), 3x Frayed Abomination Stitching (stratholme), 1x Twilight Cultist Robe.

Reward: Mark of Remulos

Quest: "The Four Dukes" (http://www.thottbot.com/?qu=8538)

Gotten From: Tactical Task Briefing V

Objective: Kill the Elemental Dukes - Duke of Cynders (fire), Duke of Fathoms (water), Duke of Zephyrs (air), Duke of Shards (rock).

(I'm told these are real bastards, no reason to try without a full 5 man group)

Reward: Mark of Cenarius

---REPUTATION---

Another important factor in these quests is of course the reputation with Cenarion Circle. You'll need different levels of reputation for the different equipment quests.

Volunteer's Battlegear requires Friendly

Veteran's Battlegear requires Honored

Stalwart's Battlegear requires Revered

Champion's Battlegear requires Exalted

There are several ways of achieving this:

-Grinding Twilight agents. Normal (Geolords, Avengers etc.) ones yield 1 reputation and the Keepers 5. In itself it's clearly not worth it, but keep in mind that you'll need a bunch of Twilight Cultist sets which drop from them and you'll need these to do the Tactical quests involving the summoning and slaying of the Elemental Templars and the Dukes. Furthermore you get the Twilight Text drops, which can be turned in in stacks of 10 for a reward of 100 reputation.

The best thing about this way to get your rep, is that it's easy and can be solo'ed.

Note: At 5999 rep (friendly) you stop getting the 1 pt rewards from this, and the 5 pt from Keepers goes down to 1. The rest seem unaffected so far.

-Field Duty. You get 20 reputation every time you do the Field Duty quest which just involves getting the papers signed by the Captain (as detailed in quest description) and returning. This is mainly soloable, but if you're not a healing class you may have to rely on other healers to keep the captain alive since he's under constant attack by the Hive'Zora Abomination. Because of this, this is actually one of the few quests in WoW which is actually BETTER to do at busy times when loads of people are on and doing the same. Less work for you that way ;) Don't worry if you don't have any more space in your quest log, all you need is one slot for repeating this quest, you don't have to take the assignments you get out of doing it, you can just throw them away and go again for the purpose of reputation alone.

It's a good idea while doing this, to keep an eye out for "the good quests". If you're gonna throw something away, it might as well be the quests which are hard or expensive, and just keep the easiest ones.

Tactics Suggestion For Healers: Stay just out of range for your furthest reaching healing spell. When your mana has regenerated fully or the Captain is down to 50% then move just within range, heal him and quickly out again. This way you avoid being shot at by the Abominations ranged poison which deals a fair chunk of initial and quite fast DOT damage. By moving in and out like this you can steer almost completely clear of danger.

-Combat/Tactical/Logistical Badges. This will of course happen pretty much by itself. You have to get the badges, so these will tick in at 50 reputation per badge quest you finish.

-The Ahn'Qiraj Instances. Although not exactly available to most casual players, these are of course also an option for getting reputation. Normal mobs award 3 rep and the bosses 100. Furthermore there are a few quests around Cenarion Hold which requires going there, and I should think they award a nice chunk of rep as well.

-Get Around. For purpose of variation it might be worth keeping in mind that Silithus isn't the only place Cenarion Circle is represented. You will be able to get some reputation doing other quests around Azeroth, which may make it a little less tedious - if not as effective.

---ECONOMY---

I'm sure you're bright enough to make your own money, but here's a few tips on the prospecs.

Skinning: The Chitin which drops from the bugs in the combat quests if you skin them is pretty hard to sell on Alliance AH. The reason is that the stuff you can make with them seems mostly tailored for Shamans as far as I could see at a quick glance. With this in mind, I'd suggest Alliance players sold them on Gadgetzan AH instead (it's a lot closer anyway). Just a thought, see how it goes. Even if you find it's not viable to AH them, there's always vendor. Sunday I did a few hours of grinding, and the skinner of the group ended up with 12g worth of Chitin if he vendored it.

Mining: There's a fair bit of Rich Thorium veins around the different hives, so you'll probably get some of that, and so far I've personally gotten 2 Arcane Crystals and about 40 Thorium and a few other gems so it's not bad.

Drops: You'll probably be killing a LOT of Twilight agents to get those texts. Mostly they drop around 4-10s and a variation of Major Healing and Mana pots, a few Runecloth and maybe occationally a green and very very rarely a blue world drop. Mostly the greens you get will be from the elemental Templars which you'll also end up killing a few of, and they will typically be armour of the "Abyssal" type (Abyssal Cloth Handwraps etc.). Look it up on thottbot.com to see what you can expect. For a non-raiding character they're quite good greens some of them.

That's it for now, let me hear what you think if you could be bothered to read it all ;)

Neh.

Blir litt gull alt dette her. :)
