Hei!

Lurer bare på om noen har hatt engelskeksamen høsten 2012? Har noen kanskje de oppgavene som blir gitt, og vil dele dem her? Hvis ikke, er det noen som har noen gode tips til hva temaet "English, at home and aboard" kanskje vil innbære?

 

I vedlegg 1, er det en liten tekst om en som søker jobb. Denne karen har tideligere erfaring innen industri og på bondegård. i tillegg har han jobbet i en maskinvare butikk og har derfor erfaring med verktøy. Han har tatt vare på mormoren sin på hennes eldre dager, dermed har han erfaring med eldreomsorg også!!

Noen som har en ide om eventuelle arbeidsplasser for han? Eller eventuelle løsninger?

1A

Read Alex’s personal ad (Appendix 1) in the preparation booklet and do tasks 1 and 2.

 

1. Write a short text suggesting what kind of jobs you think Alex could do in Norway. Give reasons for your suggestions.

 

2. Suppose Alex got a job at your workplace, and you were asked to show him/her around. Write a short text saying what you would tell Alex about your workplace.

 

 

1B

Read “Geraldo No Last Name” (Appendix 2) and “How to Raise a Global Kid” (Appendix 4) in the preparation booklet and do tasks 1 and 2.

 

 

1. Briefly explain three of the most important differences between the writing styles in the two texts (Appendices 2 and 4).

 

 

2. Write a short text about the advantages and disadvantages of moving abroad, seen from a young person’s point of view.

The following tasks are based on your preparation topic “English, at home and abroad”.

Write a comprehensive and thorough answer to either 2A, 2B, 2C or 2D.

 

2A

 

Many Norwegian workplaces have employees from different countries who use English to communicate.

Write a text about the advantages and challenges in workplaces where English is used. Discuss whether or not you would like to work in one, and why. You may refer to the texts “Work wanted please!” (Appendix

1) and “English in Norway” (Appendix 3) in the Preparation Booklet.

Your text should include:

 

• an introduction about how English is used in Norwegian workplaces

• examples of workplaces where English is used

• the advantages of using English at work

• the challenges of having to use English at work

• a discussion of whether or not you would like to work in one of these workplaces

• a conclusion

 

Give your text a suitable title.

 

 

2B

 

Write an article about the importance and use of English in the world today. To give different perspectives on the importance of English, you may refer to the texts “Work wanted please” (Appendix 1) and “English in Norway” (Appendix 3) in the Preparation Booklet. You may also use other information you have found.

Your article should include:

 

• an introduction

• examples of why English is important in the world today

• reflections on the status and use of English in the world

• a discussion of how English is used in Norway

• a conclusion

• references to relevant films or literature you have studied

• a discussion of why knowing English is important in order to understand social and cultural conditions in an English-speaking country

• a conclusion

 

Give your article a suitable title.

 

 

2D

 

Write a text about how English-language literature has helped you understand social and/or cultural aspects of one or two English-speaking countries. Use two relevant literary texts and/or films you have studied to illustrate your points.

Your text should include:

 

• an introduction

• a brief presentation of the two literary texts and/or films

• a presentation of the social and/or cultural aspect(s) you now understand better

• reflections on how each text or film has increased your understanding of an English-speaking country

• a conclusion

Kan jeg vennligst får forberedelsehefte som dere brukte. Jeg trenger den kjempe mye til min øving :)
