BFME II - Ønsker å endre skjermoppløsning

Jeg har trålet gjennom trådene her i gamer, søkt på det meste, men ikke funnet den aktuelle tråden. Jeg er ganske så sikker på at det en gang ble lagt ut en oppskrift på hvordan man endrer skjermoppløsningen i BFME II om man ønsker å bruke andre enn standardinnstillingene. Selv har jeg en Dellskjerm, og mener å huske at det var 1680x1050. Er det noen som vet hvilke filer man kan gå inn i for å endre dette? Jeg har gjort det en gang tidligere med BFME II. Nå skal jeg gjøre det med siste versjon, Heksedoktoren, og oppskriften er sannsynligvis den samme.

For those of you with widescreen monitors:

 

As stated in the readme under Command Line Parameters, one can force BfME2 to use any resolution:

Go to the location of the game's executable. This is typically found in C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth™ II\lotrbfme2.exe.

Right-click on the lotrbfme2.exe icon and select "Create Shortcut".

This will create a shortcut of the executable within the same folder. This will typically be called "Shortcut to bfme2.exe".

Right-click on this new shortcut and select "Properties".

Add a space to the end of the string in the "Target:" field, followed by a "-" and then the command line parameter.

-xres (Forces the game to a specific horizontal resolution)

-yres (Forces the game to a specific vertical resolution)

In my case: "D:\games\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II\lotrbfme2.exe" -xres 1280 -yres 800

 

 

 

I even tried 2560x1200, which works beautifully on my 30" wide from dell. I just need a faster comp to run it comfortably

 

 

 

So, set it to whatever your monitor is and enjoy BfME2 without any stretching today!

 

 

 

First, if you open up the in game options menu, you'll undo any forced resolution setting. Try this method to force the resolution......

 

 

The file is located in: C:\Documents and Settings\#USER#\Application Data\My Battle for Middle Earth Files 2

Click on "options.ini"

 

To make this file visible..........

 

Click Start.

 

Open My Computer.

 

Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.

 

Select the View Tab.

 

Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.

 

Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files option.

 

Click Yes to confirm.

 

Click OK.

 

Edit the 'resolution =' to the resolution you require, save the file.
