Tekken 6

Beta til Tekken har endelig kommet ut, som betyr mer ny info og flere bilder.

Info:

Nye Karakterer:

-Så langt har få fått sett 3 nye karakterer (This does not include the two new characters introduced in Tekken 5 DR for PSP and PS3.)

Leo, Zafina, og Miguel

-At least one more new character will be introduced, perhaps even more.

Customization:

Customization in Tekken 6 appears to be far greater than that of the previous game. It will really be a game in itself just to dress up and change each character in the game you wish to use. This allows you to truely have your own unique individual character. People can recognize your character just by it's appearance, rather than your alias. There is not too much to say about customization, we have all seen it before and this is just a big upgrade in customization from the previous game.

GamePlay:

They have added destructable walls/floors which is always a great addition to 3D fighters. Beat your opponent through a glass floor and watch as they slam in to the ground of the bottom floor. I know one of my favorite parts of Dead or Alive is knocking people around the stage. Something about kicking someone in the face off of a bridge gives me a happy feeling inside.

The game has added a unique weapon attack for each character. I do not know that much about this yet, but as we had seen in the trailer characters like Bryan have a gun.

There is a new thing called Rage. From what I gather, when your life is lower you will gain the Rage ability. Your hands apparently catch on fire and your damage is increased. This is a minor addition in my opinion, but could be what is needed for a 'Come Back!'

Generelt:

This game looks to be promising as most Tekken games are. This is one of my favorite franchises and the story really sucks me in. So far I am not to interested in any of the new characters with the exception of Miguel. I really hope we get more new characters, especially one with a really unique fighting style. The new additions like weapon attacks, rage, and stage levels are nice but nothing ground breaking.

This game as of now is only confirmed for PS3. With Virtua Fighter 5 porting to Xbox360 there are rumors afloat of this game also porting to Xbox360. With the high chances of Tekken 6 going online, much like Tekken 5:DR just recently had added. It would be a great addition to port it to 360 and tap in to the vast Xbox Live userbase. Just because the arcade is built around the PS3's hardware, I feel that doesn't debunk the possibility of Tekken 6 being capable of being ported.

Assassin`s Creed:

Generelt:

Generel info:

GTA 4 Info:

gta4_logo_thumb001.jpg

Klikk for å se/fjerne innholdet nedenfor
- Niko Bellic is the main character.

- Multi-player will be included, but no details yet. It will not be MMO.

- The game has been in development since early 2004.

- Variations in the terrain cause the walking animation to change. The physics have also improved and character movements are more realistic.

- Liberty City is the only location in the game and it takes place in 2007.

- The Xbox 360 version was the version shown to the magazine editors.

- There were no planes in the skies of the demo that the magazine editors saw.

- The MetLife building now bears the name Getalife, the Statue of Liberty is now the Statue of Happiness, and DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) is called BOABO (Beneath the Offramp of the Algonquin Bridge Overpass).

- Dan Houser of Rockstar Games said that New York City "is an environment we felt had never been done to the level we were envisioning it in a video game. From looking at all of the locations, this was the one that really stood out to us, and really had that impact. It has all of these iconic things that you couldn't put into a game before."

- Within Grand Theft Auto IV, Rockstar North has recreated four of the five boroughs that make up New York City, as well as a section of New Jersey. In the GTA universe, Brooklyn has been transformed to Broker, Manhattan has mutated into Algonquin, Queens is now Dukes, The Bronx is Bohan, and New Jersey has become Alderney.

- It's a smaller geographical mass than San Andreas, but not an inch of this world is wasted or dedicated to vast stretches of country or desert. It's a tightly packed metropolis that captures the eye with its decades of world-class architecture, sun-blocking towers, and extraordinary walks of life.

- The city is brought to life with an amazing level of realism. Sunlight glistens beautifully off of glasswork, illuminates the intricate detailing of century old brick, and even reveals just how realistic an ordinary bag of trash can look. As the sun begins to set, the city takes on a whole different appearance. Buildings that were once eye-popping attractions slowly become ominous obelisks. As any New Yorker will tell you, there's a big difference between New York during the day and New York at night. Liberty City will perfectly capture that quality.

- Niko Bellic's home is in Eastern Europe, and he likely may never have traveled to Liberty City if it wasn't for his cousin Roman. With life not working out in the homeland, "Bellic turns up in Liberty City because he's been receiving e-mails from his cousin Roman, that read like: 'I live this amazing life, it's the American Dream come true. I have two women. I have four hot tubs. I have fifteen sports cars," Houser elaborates. "And [bellic] believes it." His bid to flee his past for what he thought would be the greener pastures of America couldn't be any further from the truth. Roman has been lying to him. He isn't rich. He isn't popular. And he's actually in a load of trouble. He lied to his cousin to hide his own failures in life.

- Roman, Niko's cousin, is the only person that he knows in America. He serves as one of his main friends, motivations, and connections at the start of the game. Unlike San Andreas, players won't get a chance to see Bellic in his homeland. You will see his life unfold from the moment he steps into Liberty City.

- Niko is a "tough character" while Roman is a "friendly buffoon."

- The story unfolds in a number of different ways. R* is giving people more freedom, more choice and more sense of control over their destiny - the structure of the storyline is quite different to previous games.

- The targeting system details have not been released.

2:

- As expected, there's no more pop-ups of buildings and trees as we've seen in the past due to the completely overhauled graphics engine.

- Bridges may keep you from accessing other boroughs at the start of the game, but this hasn't been definitively determined yet.

- Dan Houser, creative VP and co-founder of the company, states that it's not a block for block recreation. Also, Houser said that there won't be any "dead spots" or "irrelevant space" in the city.

- A new character named Elizabeta has been confirmed.

- Loading screens are a thing of the past when crossing islands or entering interiors. They won't be there.

- Niko Bellic, the main character, is in his mid-thirties age-wise. You won't be able to customize his physique, but you will be able to change his clothing.

- Houser stated that there will not be any old characters returning. This is a new, different Liberty City. Some brands and possibly radio personalities will return, but not characters.

- A Staten Island-esque area will not appear in the game because Rockstar Games decided that it would not be a fun location to play in.

- The mob will be featured in the game, just not as lead characters. "Almost none" of the characters from the previous games are returning.

- Houser stated that no one has attempted to recreate a location of this size with the kind of detail they are going for.

- When Niko pulls out a pistol, a crosshair with a simple black cross within a circle shows up on the screen. This could be an indication of manual aiming being available in the game.

- Rockstar's humorous take on the number 69 makes an appearance yet again. The editors of the magazine saw a sign for a "69th Street Diner." Another building called "Twitchins," the GTA version of Brooklyn's Domino's Sugar Factory, is in the game.

- Niko will be able to climb and descend exterior fire escapes and some meetings will take place high in the office buildings of skyscrapers. It's said that from on top of them you'll be able to throw people off.

- Hand-to-hand combat will feel "much more natural" than before.

- One of the radio stations includes an "Eastern European-sounding" dancing station.

- Players will be able to change camera views whilst in a car according to their needs. This however is said to still being experimented on, and that Rockstar wants to give better control and "immediacy" to players.

- When selecting your mobile phone, a zoomed-in version of the mobile screen pops up in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen, where you can use its address book to pitch for "jobs" with gang contacts among other things.

- One of the things that makes it easier for Rockstar setting GTA IV in a fictional New York is that they sometimes get a call from the developers at Rockstar North in Scotland. They call because they want to know more about a specific building or traffic flow in a certain area, for instance, and using their in-house researchers in NYC can help to easily assist the guys back in Scotland.

- Dan Houser is quoted saying that the Liberty City in GTA IV is bigger than any single city they've done before, giving a more clear indication of the physical size of the game. He continues saying that the "detail" of the game is the big thing.

- He also confirms Central Park to be in the game, though it's fictional name is still unknown to us.

- Dan says that they're "certainly evolving the way the radio works". He says the same for police behavior and their reaction to crimes. Nothing further is said about this.

- For confirmation, boats will be making a return and the handling is "really nice."

- "Fun ridiculous" weapons is said to be in the game, because R* is not going too "naturalistic."

- It is possible to view the bus schedule at bus stops in the game. You will most likely be able to ride the bus around the city for a small fee.

- When the main character, Niko Bellic, pulls out a weapon in the game, the camera positions itself over the shoulder and a crosshair appears at the center of the screen. The translation claims that it is possible to remain locked on to a target and strafe left or right to avoid shots.

- Niko, the main character, will not be able to get in a car and immediately start driving like in previous games in the series. You will have to perhaps "hot wire" the car. You might also have to sneak up to the car and break the window. These are sketchy details, though, so don't go around thinking this as complete factual information.

- Niko can freely climb several things such as telephone poles and fire escapes. No word if you will be able to climb walls like in San Andreas, though.

- If you were looking closely in the trailer, you could see down into the grating of a sidewalk panel. Light will shine down into these areas, and the subway or sewer is most likely below. Here is that trailer shot:

- Though the translation for this next bullet point might have been bad, people are claiming that Philip Glass, the composer of the music heard in the first trailer, will be involved in the production of the game soundtrack.

- The editors of the magazine saw pedestrians reading newspapers, people gesturing as they talked on public phones and people sitting and chatting at bus stops. Some of them even visibly flicked dust off of their trousers.

- When pedestrians get too close to Niko (the main character), he "pushes them aside."

- As a car passed by the main character, the controller vibrated to the bass emanating from inside.

- You can be mugged by other criminals.

- You can bribe characters.

- Niko has the opportunity to deposit and withdraw money via an automatic teller machine (ATM).

- In the demo presented to the editors, Niko entered an apartment, gun drawn. The apartment had multiple rooms including a loungeroom and kitchen. Niko exited through a back doorway/window into an alley where "piles of litter, weeds and homeless guys huddling around fires in barrels" were present.

- In the demo, Niko was struck by a car. He realistically fell to the ground and then got back up.

- We finally got an answer as to why a trailer for the game was released earlier than any other trailer for any other GTA game ever. Dan Houser, co-founder of Rockstar Games said that the company feels that they are showing stuff "earlier than [they] normally would do purely because [they] have got to get enough people excited enough to want to go out and buy the new consoles." Later, he says "we are trying to make things that will make a large number of people go out and buy the machines. We have to do that by showing stuff early because it's a big purchase to people."

- Houser took a "shot" at the PlayStation 3 and Sony by saying "because of the games out there at the moment, I wouldn't go out and spend $600 on one of those machines yet. There's not enough interesting software unless you happen to really like having an expensive box that shows off graphics on some really uninspiring games." He didn't mention the PS3 by name.

- Houser said that the goal for the game is to "create a game that feels like the ultimate gangster crime experience and on the other hand, it's to create a game that feels like the ultimate living in a modern city experience."

- The eating and body-building features from San Andreas will not be in GTA IV because Rockstar "wanted to focus on physics more and they got kind of conflicting."

- Elements of terrorism will be in the game, but there will not be a Ground Zero for the World Trade Center. I am in no way saying that you play a terrorist. If you are a politician or you work for one and you are reading this, you better not be an idiot.

- Houser was asked about a possible PSP title called GTA: San Andreas Stories coming soon, but all Houser had to say was "no real plans at the moment" and that they are "doing some other things" with the handheld device...

- "No, you can't fly planes - though you can fly a helicopter and land it on almost every building you see."

- Streets are all named.

- Temporary music that is currently a placeholder in the game for the press to hear includes Russian and East Coast rap.

"There are no airplanes in the game, but flying is still there. One means of this is the helicopter. As Dan pointed out, this is just one city and a plane really doesn’t fit into that very well for gameplay. Flying is still very much a large part of the game."

- "I didn’t see Niko climb a ladder, per se, but I did see him ascend a telephone pole to get a bird’s eye view of Liberty City. He didn’t climb up it like a gorilla, however. He simply pulled himself up on the series of rungs on the pole. This feat was actually quite impressive. You could clearly see his weight transfer from side to side as he moved up the pole."

- "Niko seemed to have other things on his mind than talk with pedestrians. The people we passed, however, were very vocal."

- "In terms of scale, it definitely feels more like a realistic city. It feels you are traversing New York City. As you’ve seen in the trailer, there are a number of ways to traverse this massive area."

- "Rockstar is still putting polish on the graphics. The demo I saw was definitely a step up from the trailer…which is kind of ridiculous given how great it looked already."

- "From what I was shown, the only new element was breaking the window of the car to get in. The animation for this was awesome, and something I wish I had seen more than once. The car I saw was newer in make – which was evidenced in both the beautiful crimson sheen and suspension that handled pot holes and variances in the road with ease. Now, I only saw one car, but it really did have that new car look to it. It’ll be interesting to see how Rockstar handles the shocks and struts for other vehicles in the game."

- "If I had to give a comparison, I would say that the new camera angle positioning is more like Midnight Club now. It’s closer, allowing the player to see more of the minute detailing on the car, and also lower, allowing you to see more of the horizon and verticality of the city."

- "I didn’t see one load in the entire demo, and this included visiting two interiors at different points on the map."

- "The graphic for the phone wasn’t finished just yet, so I won’t go into the detail on that, but it seemed that the interface was very simple in design and easy to use. Truth be told, it looked like a real cell phone. We just have to see if it drops as many calls as a real phone."

- "The visuals are tremendous and easily some of the best I have seen. What’s scary about this statement is that Rockstar North is still improving upon the visuals. There’s little question that it will be one of the best looking games come this holiday. As for the draw distance, I didn’t see one building, car, streetlamp, or pedestrian pop up. The framerate was also incredibly smooth and the lighting really couldn’t have been much better."

- "I already talked a lot about the city, so I will answer this question like it is being asked about the length of the game itself. I asked Dan this, and he said it should be comparable to all the other GTA games, but they don’t know exactly how long it is since the game is still in development. In other words, you’ll still be able to vest hundreds of hours. The multiplayer component, which is still a mystery, could greatly expand the time you spend with it too."

-"You win by killing New York City police officers," Lanza said, referring to the latest version of Grand Theft Auto. "You score points for picking up prostitutes. The better a mass murderer you are, the better you do at the game."
