Scam mail, pass på !

We have a short but important announcement that we wanted to share with our players. World of Warcraft is currently an operation of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. (USA), but starting April 14, 2009, the game operator will be Blizzard Entertainment's central European entity, Blizzard Entertainment S.A.S. (France), and will be referred to as such in the game's Terms of Use going forward. Our European office has been an essential part of our global operations since before the launch of World of Warcraft, and this update better reflects its role within our organization, as well as our continued commitment to our European players.

 

This is an administrative change -- your World of Warcraft game experience will not be impacted. If for any reason you do not agree to this change you may terminate your account with effect from March 31, 2009 by accessing the cancellation feature in the account management page at https://www.wow-europe.com/account/. Note that your continued use of the World of Warcraft service indicates that you agree to the change.

Lukter scam lang vei, selv om den ser legitim ut.

Hva skal de gjøre hvis jeg ikke godkjenner? Stenge kontoen fordi jeg ikke har lest mailen min? Hah, blizzard gir ikke slipp på inntekter så fort... Da skulle de i det minste lagt det ut på forsiden av internettsiden sin.

 

Pass på hvis det er flere som får denne. Antar at linken de sendte med inneholder noe phishing slik at man få en keylogger på pc'en sin.

 

Edit: Ah, jeg leste feil. Jeg trenger ikke godkjenne noe. Btw, er skrivefeil i emnet på mailen også så jeg er fortsatt litt skeptisk

To ting jeg ser med en gang som tyder på at dette er scam:

 

- Skrivebom. "Warcarft" (i header, denne mailen viser ikke), "We're" (blizzard bruker vel ikke slik?) og så mangler det vel noen kommaer.

- Hvis dette er en så viktig forandring, hvorfor har da ikke alle fått den? Jeg har blant annet ikke fått den. Skal vi forbrukere ikke stille like informert om såpass viktige forandringer bare fordi vi ikke abonnerer på nyhetsbrevet?

 

Jeg syns også å ha sett en eller annen plass at det er lett å forfalske avsender av mailen, så jeg står på at dette er scam.

fått den selv, og stusset på den selv, så ingen poster angående den i wow forumet tho.

 

jeg, av sikkerhets grunner, trykker ALDRI på linker fra mail, som har avsender @blizzard.com , på grunn av alt scam

 

EDIT: Blue har bekreftet at den er LEGIT.

Om jeg får beskjed om å logge meg inn på min konto for å gjøre endringer følger jeg aldri linken fra E-posten jeg motar men går manuelt inn.

 

Samt, den leder ikke til WoW-Europe innlogging men til en fake utgave av battle.net, dvs en helt komplett annen plass. Dessuten har battle.net ingen ting med WoW innloggingen å gjøre.
