Roberticus Skrevet 25. juli 2005 Skrevet 25. juli 2005 Dette er engelsk, men jeg håper dere forstår det omfg, CHRISTMAS IN JULY!! World Map: http://www.kaldorei.com/worldmap/ - Awesome highly detailed map of the current game world. Useful tool if you need to look at a reference to locations being described below, also shows all flightpoints and dungeons, its quite awesome. The World Map of the Future: http://www.blizzplanet.com/coppermine/disp...album=237&pos=0 - This is a screenshot of a whiteboard at Blizzard HQ, taken during the pre-alpha design stage. It's from 'Behind the Scenes' movie on the Collectors Edition CD, someone freeze framed it and took a screenshot. You'll note that Trolls and Gnomes were not apart of the initial race line up, and that Naga and Goblins were. Perhaps they will be playable races in the future, one can only hope. It does seem that Blizzard will be eventually adding all this content back in, as I read the world map in-game during Alpha did show Northrend and Undermine, but it was removed before closed-beta. A Closer View of Undermine: http://www.blizzplanet.com/coppermine/disp...album=237&pos=7 - Just looking at these whiteboard drawings make me want to construct an additional pylon. I love warcraft lore. Here's some info I gathered off Warcraft forums, mostly about upcoming content; Blackwing Lair - We all already know about this, coming out in 1.6 patch. Next step above Molten Core, located in the heights of Blackrock Mountain, a 40-man raid instance, with the final boss being the dragon Nefarious who you see in his human form in Blackrock Spire during the fight with Warcheif Rend Blackhand. Zul'Gurub - A level 60 instanced outdoor zone, similar to Zul'Farrak. This instance is designed for raids of 20 players, the next teir up from Blackrock Spire. Lots of Trolls and possible extension to Sunken Temple lore dealing with the dragon Eranikus. Possible multi-day timer to finish the dungeon, 2-3 days. Released in patch 1.7 Karazhan - Another level 60 instanced dungeon found in Deadwind Pass. This is also known as "Medivh's Tower." There will be multiple entrances similar to Scarlet Monestary, one will be The Crypt, below the tower, while others will explore the rest of the tower, all the way up to the top floor observatory. Necropolis Naxxramas - The Black Citidel. Located behind Stratholme, where Kel'Thuzad, the Lich Kings Right-Hand man, rules the Scourage on Lorderon. It is presumed that Kel'Thuzad will be a raid boss, and that this will be the next 40-Man raid dungeon after Blackwing Lair. The entrance to this instance can be found inside Stratholme near Baron Rivendare's chamber. There could also possibly an entrance reached via Quel'Thalas when that region is released. Ahn'Qiraj - Little is known of the ancient kingdom of Ahn'qiraj in southern end of Sithilus, save for scattered legends concerning its creators, the enigmatic sorcerers known as the Qiraji. Night Elf tales abound of the Qiraji's strange hold over the insect like sillithid and their symbiotic link with the terrifying race. It's become clear that the Qiraji are stirring once again behind the sand blasted walls of thier kingdom. the Sillithid have begun to amass in the southern regions of kalimdor. None know what vast evil might spew forth if the gates of Ahn'Qiraj were ever breached. The gates of Ahn'Qiraj can only be opened by a mighty, player-driven quest. Once the gates are open, the spoils of Ahn'Qiraj will be available for any on the server who can rise to the challenge. It is theorized to be a full-bown "outdoor raid zone" for 40 level 60 players, with encounters being varied in the zone, with some taking place on the sprawling sand of a once epic city, and others taking place deep within the hive tunnels. Released in patch 1.9. Mt. Hyjal - A huge outdoor zone that will be accessed from the caves in southern part of Winterspring. It's essentially one huge path leading circular up the slope of the mountain towards the peak. There are rumors of an Onyxia type Dragon Mouth instance entrance at the top. The remains of the World Tree will also be on the lower floor of the zone. The Emerald Dream - In Feralas, Duskwood, Ashenvale, Hinterlands, and Swamp of Sorrows you may have come upon the green dragonkin and the green drakes who guard the portals to The Emerald Dream. All of the recent patch updates do indicate that the graphics files and models exist for this area and have for some time. Draenor - Homeworld of the Orcs, now desroyed, and reached via The Dark Portal in Blasted Lands. Also refered to as "Outland." Illidan the Demon Hunter resides here with his Naga, Blood Elf and Draenai allies, it is also infested with very powerful demons, greater than anything seen on Azeroth. Supposed to be unlocked via Player-Driven quest yet to be discovered. Timbermaw Hold - There is a gated door to this area in northern Azshara. There has been no information about what this may be used for in the future, but one would speculate it will involve the Timbermaw Faction. Forlorn Ridge - A future battleground near the flight points in Azshara. It has an Alliance base on the southern side and a Horde base on the northern side. There are no NPCs there, but there are caves which look like they could be entrances in the future. If you go into either base, the music changes to something appropriate for a battleground. Caverns of Time - Located on the eastern coast of Tanaris. Like the Emerald Dream, Caverns of Time is already partially implemented. Skins and models can be seen breifly in the file listings during patching. The main door to the instance is selectable doodad. Past this door are 3 instances, each leading to an event in Warcraft history. One of these instances is believed to go to Hillsbrad Foothills before the events in Warcraft 3, and explain some of the history behind the region. Another is presumed to go to The Black Morass, which is now known as the Blasted Lands, before the Dark Portal was opened and sucked the life out of the region. Blizzard could do alot of interesting stuff with this. Uldum - We were given a quest at the end of Uldaman to bring discs to the entrance of Uldum in southern Tanaris, which is currently unfinished. The quest speaks of the titan gods. A third area called Ulduar is mentioned, and will reside on the continent of Northrend. These are known as the Three Titan Vaults. Uldaman is in the Badlands of Khaz Modan. Uldum is in the Tanaris Desert of Kalimdor. Ulduer is under the Storm Peaks of Northrend. Ulduar - Located on Northrend, which is not yet available. Alcaz Island - Located northeast of Dustwallow Marsh. The place is swarming with high level elite Hydras and Naga. There are a number of cabins and watchtowers and an underground prison. Down in the bottom cells you can find the King of Stormwind, a level 60 non-elite npc. Rumor is that this will be a world event quest eventually, with the King returning to Stormwind. Isle of Dread - Located in southern Feralas below Feathermoon. The center of the island, which can only be accessed via the east side of the islands coast, is swarming with high level elite mobs. No points of interest have been discovered, but Blizzard could eventually put something of value here. Dalaran - The huge purple bubble of energy in the west of the Alterac Mountains. Unlikely that this will change as the city was destroyed in Warcraft III, but could be updated. The Vault - Located in Stormwind. This is the Second Prison, a maximum security prison, on the opposite side of the city in a tower like The Stockades. It's completely barricaded in water. This prison is reserved for the most dangerous and ruthless criminals, while The Stockades is just for theifs and bandits. The instance gate is there, but the door is not selectable. There have been many reports of files being updated for this in patch logs. Stormwind Housing District - There is another instance portal in Stormwind City which is assumed to lead to the Stormwind Housing District, when Blizzard finally impliments player housing. There is also a similar one located in Ogrimmar. I wouldn't be surprised if and when Blizzard implements player housing, it would be done via instance portals in all the major cities. Grim Batol - Located in the far east of Wetlands. Lots of high level elite dragons protect this area. It was once the capital city of the Wildhammer Dwarves, abandoned long ago. The Horde used the city during the second war to train their red dragons, but the Dragonmaw clan was defeated and the red dragon queen freed, they incinerated most of the remaining orcs. It is unknown if this is planned to be a raiding area or left alone like Dalaran. Quel'Thalas - Located north of Eastern Plaguelands but is currently blocked off. This land is the home of the High Elves and their capital city, Silvermoon. The land was ravaged and destoyed by the scourage, and their source of magical powers, The Sunwell, was destroyed. This area is theorized to be a level 60 raid zone much like southern Sithilus. Zul'Aman - This is the part of Quel'Thalas that remained untouched by the Scourge and wasn't burned to the ground like the rest of Quel'Thalas was. Zul'Aman is the homeland of the Forest Trolls. Gilneas - Located south of Silverpine Forest but is blocked off with the Greymane Wall. The nation of Gilneas has had it doors closed for over twenty years, ever since they left the Alliance. No one has heard from thems since. It is unknown if Blizzard will have them emerge from their hiding, or simply remain locked away. Kul'Tiras - Kul'Tiras had the biggest Naval Fleet of the Alliance during the second war. It is an island southwest of Gilneas, and west of Wetlands. Nearby Kul'Tiras existed Tol'Barad island, but it was destroyed by the Horde during the second war. Kul'Tiras was ruled by Admiral Daelin Proudmoore, father of Jaina Proudmoore, who is now ruler of Theramore Isle. If you played Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne, you killed Admiral Daelin Proudmore in the orc campaign. Some theorize Blizzard will implement some sort of Battlegrounds instance with Naval theme when this island is released as an expansion. Undermine - Undermine is the land of the goblins. Not much is known of the place, except that all Goblin princes of trade live there ruling the various goblin holdings around the world by sending privateers and agents. Each Undermine prince has its own private army and trade fleet. Princes control trade, mining, deforestation, slave rings and any other profitable commerce be it legal or through the means of black markets. This is likely an expansion continent. (Note: Read maps linked above) Northrend - Northrend is the home of Arthas the Lich King. There isn't alot of details about this continent, but the spider like Nerubians live there. There are also Alliance outposts on the southeastern most shores. This will likely have much expasion content. The Maelstrom - The never ending storm in the center of the ocean caused by the breaking of the world over 10,000 years ago. Blizzard has confirmed they are working for content on this, and will likely been seen as islands in an expansion. This area is the home of the Naga. Katricia, ex-Community Manager of World of Warcraft, mentioned long ago that the Devs were doing content for Maelstrom.

Cuneax Skrevet 3. august 2005 Skrevet 3. august 2005 Meget interessant, dette her.
