Eg har et engangskamera som det står use before 02-2004. Vil det sei at det ikkje nytter å prøve å framkalle det nå?

Som svar på spørsmålet: Du må nesten bare prøve. Enten blir de brukbare, ellers gjør de det ikke. Jeg har fremkalt gammel film tidligere og fått bra bilder.

Although we never recommend that any outdated film product be used for important pictures, it is possible that outdated film or single-use cameras will produce satisfactory images. Unfortunately, there is no way to know until the film is developed!

Film has a limited life, as indicated by the date on the carton. Storage conditions are of primary importance. Under normal storage conditions, the actual date or a few weeks beyond is a good guide.

 

If the film has been stored in a moisture-proof package in a cool environment (refrigerator), it may be satisfactory a year past its expiration date. However, under poor storage conditions--high temperature and/or humidity--film can degrade before it becomes outdated!

 

If storage conditions are doubtful and you want to use the film, take pictures that can be retaken without difficulty should the film show age deterioration. Do not use the film for a one-time event (wedding, vacation, birthday party)!

 

If you have several rolls of film with the same date and storage conditions, expose and process one roll. How do the pictures look? The quality of the test roll can indicate the quality of the rest.
