[Løst]Siden blir ødelagt i IE, men ikke i FF

Hei,

til min store frustrasjon blir siden jeg har laget i Dreamweaver Cs4 helt ødelagt når jeg åpner den i IE.

Jeg er bare amatør så det blir nok vanskelig, men hva med å prøve å rette de valideringsfeilene? De blir merket med rødt.

Koden er søppel

Du benytter html-tabeller til formatering, spacer.gifs, og absolutt posisjonering av tabell celler. Selvfølgelig benytter du også br-elementet.

Skriv om koden

Du burde skrive om koden til div-struktur. Formater først mot FF eller noe annet moderne, og så hacker du med conditionals mot IE.

Conditionals

Hvis siden vises riktig i FF, så er det mest sannsynligvis IE som er problemet. Du kan hacke den koden du har nå med conditinals i css mot IE. Du må da jobbe med hvert tilfelle av bugs hver for seg. Koden din er relativ enkel så det er mest trolig at det er samme problemet ganske mange steder.

Kjøp deg en stor kopp kaffe for å holde deg våken. Hacking mot IE krever tid og resurser. Kjøp også plaster. Du kommer til å rive deg i håret og skalle i veggen. IE er ett bevis på at komersialisering er viktigere enn selve produktet.

Generelt sett blir det å lage sider i Dreamweaver som å skrive engelsk stil med Google Translate: Det funker, men resultatet blir ikke nødvendigvis helt topp.

Det finnes ikke en løsning på problemene dine, dessverre. Jeg vil anbefale deg å se på hvordan man bruker divs istedenfor tabeller. Tabeller kan fint brukes til, nettopp, tabeller, og bør ikke brukes til layout.

Uansett hvor mye du roter med koden DW har gitt deg, tviler jeg på at du vil få samme resultat i alle nettlesere. Lykke til.
