Problemer med gudfaren/directx

Da jeg prøver å innstallere gudfaren får jeg bskjed om at jeg ikke har nyeste directx og må oppdatere. Men når jeg oppdaterer så kommer samme feilmelding igjen. Noen som vet hva jeg kan gjøre for å få det til å funke?

Prøvd å installere ein gamlare versjon av DX, og deretter oppdatere til aller nyaste? Last ned frå Microsoft sine sider.

 

Husk, DX9 er ikkje nødvendigvis DX9. Mange versjonsnummer osv.

og det ser ut til å virke for meg å sette kompatibiliteten til Autorun.exe til windows 2000 Håper det virker for deg også

 

Why does the game keep asking to install DirectX 9.0c?

If the installation of the game prompts you to install DirectX 9.0c and it's already installed on your system, choosing to cancel will stop the installation.  Continuing with the installation of DirectX 9.0c will proceed with the installation, but after a reboot, you will be prompted to install again.

 

To get around this cycle, follow these steps if you are using Windows XP:

 

  1.

      With CD 1 in the disk drive, open My Computer.

  2.

      Right-click your CD drive and choose Explore.

  3.

      Right-click Autorun.exe and choose Properties.

  4.

      Select the Compatibility tab.

  5.

      Click once in the box next to Run this program in compatibility mode for:

      Select Windows 2000 from the drop down menu.

  7.

      Apply changes.

 

Once you have set Autorun.exe to run in Windows 2000 mode, double-click Autorun.exe and the installation will start.  Follow the instructions given and the game will install properly.

 

If this does not work, you will want to copy the contents of the CD to your desktop and install from there.  To do this:

 

  1. Click Start.

  2. Open My Computer.

  3. Right click on the game disc.

  4. Click Explore.

  5. (In the new window that just appeared) Click Edit up the top.

  6. Click Select All.

  7. Click Edit.

  8. Click Copy.

  9. Minimise all windows, so that you can see the desktop.

  10. Right click on the Desktop.

  11. Click New, then Folder.

  12. Name the folder: Disc Images.

  13. Right click on the Disc Images.

  14. Click Paste.

  15. Wait for the files to finish copying.

  16. Once done copying, open the Disc Images.

  17. Open the folder AutoRun.

  18. Right click on the file autorun.cfg (you may not see the .cfg part).

  19. Open with Notepad.

  20. Change the line:

 

      DirectXVersion=9.0c

 

      to:

 

      DirectXVersion=0

  21. Click File up the top left.

  22. Then Save.

  23. Close all windows so you can see the desktop.

  24. Open the Disc Images.

  25. Right click on the file Autorun (has an EA logo) and click Open, to install the game.

 

The game will now install from your windows desktop.  Once it has been installed you may delete the Disk Images folder.
