temperaturmåler på 9800xxl

Har et radeon 9800xxl. Er det temperaturmåler på dette. Har lastet ned ati tool og catalyst, men får ikke opp noen temperatur. Hvor er det en kan finne det?

Har ikke hørt om 9800xxl, men det er bare 9800XT som har temp måler. Noen 9800pro som er laget på samme die som XT har også muligheten for å låse opp tempmåleren med et bios flash. Når man da installerer driverene på nytt vil tempmåleren (overdrive) komme opp.

9800xxl har kun kjernen til 9800XT, ikke noe annet. Det ligner i hovedsak på et Radeon 9800 PRO. Dette er grunnen til at det ikke er tem. måler.

I have a (dreaded?) Ati 9800XXL (One from MSI, the RX9800Pro). AtiTool's log tell's me :

Detected Chip: R360 (4E4A), 8 Pipelines, 128 MB, Tempchip: yes

I assume that's as much as "yes, you have a lm63" right?

Still I don't have any temp readouts. Drivers recognize the card as a 9800XT, tho it's (of course?) running at pro speeds. Did some quick tests how high it'll go, and there's quote some stretch, but as my cpu's (and case in general) still become quite warm by themselves, I don't dare to try my luck at actually gaming for hours on a high OC, unless I can see the temp, but so far no good.

 

Anybody knows whether it should give temp. readouts, or if this is the right behaviour (and if there's a fix for it?)

i've had a number of different 9800Pro, Saphire, Herc, Powercolor.

The MSI one is the best by a long shot. I can overlcock to 440/375 not arti's at temp of 55'c on stock cooling. (i've got my own temp prob stuck in near the core.)

it's an XT PCB. Once you over this clock baby it's exactly an XT. You'll fall in love with this card.

 

Some comparisions all at stock speed using 3dmark 03 (4.7 cats)

Powercolor = 5875

Hercules = 5745

Saphire = 5734

MSI(detecting as XT) = 6444

 

A642800+,512 Dual DDR mb ram, 120 sata HD, MSI Neo FSR.

 

Trust me this card is worth every cheap penny

SO YOU HAVE TO FLASH EM WITH ANOTHER BIOS

MSI has the rx9800pro 128 meg but they sell it in Germany as Medion 9800xxl (XT 128)! the Medion 9800XXL looks exactly like the MSI 9800PRO ant they have the same PWA. Medion cards are available also in China -

This means that you can flash your MSI rx9800pro 128 with the Medion 9800xxl bios!
