Hercules 3D Prophet 9800SE AIW

Ok. Sorry to disappoint. but still not got the 9800 pro Otherthings have got in the way But what about this card. I have heard nothing about HERCULES on this forum.

 

Opinions much appreciated.

This card is in the middle card class, and it is quite good actually. It is almost identical to the 9600 pro in performance. If you would like to know more please read my own review of PowerColor Radeon 9600 Pro AIW here

Wouldnt say it's a card to go for, at least not if you're playing a lot of games. The "SE" tag at the end of the name tells you it's a cheaper version of the 9800 card, based on the old R300 chip (previously on the Radeon 8500 series).

 

If you are a typical "gamer", you should probably go for a 9800pro/non pro/XT card. However, if money is more or less a "problem", you could also go for a 9600XT card which gives good performance for the price.
