JaJa, tenkte jeg skulle poste dette på et Norsk forum siden det kansje kan være spennende for noen. Fohåpentlig trenger jeg ikke å oversette for noen

Ever wanted to have your own small or big intro video in CSS?

 

So how to ENABLE a intro video? and use your own Windows Media Video?

(eks: Something.WMV)

Note: This Tutorial was fully TESTED and working with Music videos and movie Trailers with the format .WMV

 

[TIP: If your video has wrong format... convert it to .wmv using a converter and it should work if done right]

 

--------------------------- IMPORTANT ---------------------------------------

 

STEP Zero: It is important to do what i tell you now to not mess up something.

 

CSS uses WMV teknology so do not try to play a DivX or other video formats.

ONLY TESTED ON CSS

 

CONFIRMED WORKING 100.0%

 

GOOD FOR MODS, OR PEOPLE THAT WANT THEIR OWN INTRO.

 

--------------------- Let's Get Startet -------------------------------------------

 

STEP 1: Find the Cstrike folder and create a folder with the name "media" (If you don't already have it) then create a subfolder named "ui" (If you don't already have it)

STEP 2: Find any video you have with the format ".WMV" (Windows Media Video) and COPY & PASTE it into the ui folder.

STEP 3: Rename the video to "gamestartup" [iNFO: Do not add .wmv to the video name]

 

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 

STEP 4: Open Notepad and write the text below:

 

"C:\Program files\Counter-Strike Source\cstrike\media\ui\gamestartup.wmv"

 

[info: Has to be your media\ui\gamestartup.wmv location and must include the " " ]

 

Press Enter twice and write:

 

Enable video="True"

STEP 5: Save the Notepad file to C:\Program files\Counter-Strike Source\cstrike\media\ui as a normal textfile

 

Rename the text file: StartupVids [Tip: You can use "Save" in Notepad then type: StartupVids and click save]

STEP:6 Start Cstrike and Enjoy the intro! [iNFO: SKIP VIDEO by Pressing ESC, but ESC might not work for everyone]

*NOTE Your video can be named anything so long as its referenced in the "StartupVids.txt" file.

 

*NOTE: Make sure you run your game without any cvars like "developer 1" because it will not display any video or background map when you launch the game.
