fikk det til gikk nøye gjennom BIOSen og fant et alternativ til å slå på wlan ved oppstart.

dette løste problemet mitt.

Du har ikke en sånn knapp på tastaturet også? Fn+F2 eller noe sånt?

 

Finner ikke i farta en kommando for å skru den på.. Men den burde jo egentlig vært på som standard. Er ikke en innstilling i bios da? start som på eller noe?

Hi all,

 

I have discovered that if I press the radio kill button to turn on it when the splash screen with the logo of Ubuntu and the loading bar appears, the wireless is indeed turned on, but I cannot turn on when I am running in X already.

 

There is one thing more, with the wireless turned on in X, if I turn off it pressing the radio kill button, this works, but I am not able to turn on the wireless again. The only solution is reboot the computer again.

 

Any suggestion??

Driveren er lastet, ergo er kortet aktivert. Du kan forsøke å høyreklikke på ikonet i system tray og se om ikke muligens wireless er deaktivert der. Mulig wired connection må være av, husker ikke helt.

har høyre klikket på netverk ikonet. jeg har ikke muligheten å velge wierless connection

Hmm.. 2200BG skal da ha støtte i kjernen. Du beviser jo også at den er i bruk, ipw2200.

Kan du beskrive dette litt mer? Hvordan ser du det? feilmelding?

det jeg mente med at kortet ikke fungerer er at i system tray får jeg ikke tilgang til wierless connection delen.

kansje dette hjelper. når jeg bruker win xp. så må jeg bruke en "HOTKEY" på venstre side av pcen til å aktivere det trådløse kortet. men vet ikke om dette har noen invirkning in linux.

Hei har installert ubuntu 8.10 på min aopen 1557, problemet er at det trådløse netverkortet ser ikke ut til å fungere. har prøvd å søke på HW- og ubuntu-forumene om de samme problemene, men fant ingen svar.

har sett in system > administrator > hardware drivers den finner ingenting.
