There is a simple solution to that puzzle: I lived in ignorance.

It wasn't until I was abroad for a couple of years that I was able to realize what a 'hellhole' America was, and how small a part it actually plays in the worldstage. It is a flailing child throwing a tantrum, in need of discipline, but it has no parents to administer that discipline, so it never learns. It is no longer a world power, but rather an arrogant bully which more and more people ignore.

I've spent 30 (of my 38) years there, over the coarse of my life. I'm not sure the average person would be willing to invest that kind of devotion though. There are clowns and freaks lined up for the presidency again. Nothing changes there. My opinion of the USA is harsh, granted; I believe it must be brought to its knees in revolution, before it can be saved.

Ah, but I did say "live" beyond their borders, not just "go be a tourist".

A deeper understanding requires commitment.

The biggest problem is that of perspective. Most americans have never actually left America. They have no sense of scale, and no sense of 'culture' and what a broad term that is; yet they presume to speak on worldly matters and demand that their words be given the weight of importance. This is where they earn the descriptor arrogant american.

I suppose this can be said of any citizen of any nation, however; before commenting on any issue that originates beyond your own borders, one should meet the requirement of having lived beyond said borders for a few years, to gain a better sense of perspective, placement and role.

I'm not technically an immigrant. When my wife & I got married, we had to choose: The US or Norway. Looking back, we most certainly made a wise decision. I can't even imagine asking her to give up freedom, and this life, to move to the US. I will retain dual citizenship though. Perhaps after things change and I can be proud of the States again, I'll reconsider the option, but nothing short of revolution will affect those changes. And that means never.

I am an american looking forward to becoming a norwegian (two more years). I'll gladly adopt norwegian culture as my own, if given the chance.

I haven't been interested in baseball since I was teen, in Illinois. That was twenty years ago.

I like to think that norwegians are more based in fact than they are in fantasy, only saying as much as they are prepared to prove. Seems to me like integrity.

As an american who sees a beer advertisement on television, where the brewer claims to be "The Best", that claim is automatically dismissed by the viewer as marketing gibberish and no more thought is given to it. A norwegian brewer making such a claim in Norway, has to be prepared to back it up with statistical data. "Truth in advertising" is regarded highly in Norway.

If you want good cooling with low noise you need alot of cooling area, so you need large radiator(s)

And theeses cases are made with high end systems in mind. If you want a htpc or just a web browsing (and other light uses)machine you dont need anything like this and you dont need watercooling. An AMD A3850 ish system with a passive cpu heatsink, passive power supply and SSD, cooled by just a couple of low rpm case fans is plenty and will be VERY quiet

 

No, theese cases are for big systems with multiple radiators.

I use a pair of Watercool Mo-Ra 2 Pros. I scoff at your tiny radiators.

But seriously. Despite the size of my rads, they are compact. They won't fit inside a case, no, but they stand by themselves with a small footprint. Why someone would choose to use 4 or 5 small rads and cram them all inside a giant case... I just don't get it.

AquaComputer is now selling 840mm rads. Still small, but it's a step in the right direction. Less rads, better use of space, reduction of needless complexity, more appealing dimensions: that's where I want the future to go. A move toward elegance rather than whale-ish girth.

It is really starting to bother me that innovation in the water cooling case market is predominantly appearing in MASSIVE chassis. DD, MM, LD, CL... all guilty of this. Why?

I like the ideas. I hate the size.

Med moms OG frakt, er det fremdeles billigere å kjøpe den fra Sidewinder. Hvorfor er det så jævla dyrt i Norge? Du må være gal til å kjøpe vannkjølingsdeler i Norge.
