Some people believe it is possible. Some do not. I personally believe that a person is born a vampyre and is "awakened" during puberty (12-19 flexible). I do not believe that someone can be "turned" as it were. It is a very touchy issue in our community. Just to clear things up real quick. Vampyres DO exist. Just not the way you think. Hollywood has messed stuff up. EVERY movie has messed up. Of course we can't fly. We do not have super powers. Silver does not hurt us. Nor crosses or garlic. (I love garlic!) There are three types of vampyres. (short version titles) Sang, Psi, and Hybrid. A sang vampyre, like myself, drinks blood in order to gain the life force, energy, or aura, whichever you wish to call it. I do this because I do not have the capability to produce enough energy myself. Psi vampyres are the ones who "feed" off the emotional tension of people. This could be one person at a park or many people like at the train station. Hybrid vampyres blur the lines of Psi and Sang. They can drink blood or suck [no pun intended] the energy off people. I would like to make a note that most vampyres hold both qualities of Sang and Psi. It just depends on which desire is greater or what the particular vampyre prefers.
